@@alskarmode I mean that ain't a perfect excuse to not get scared. Its less scary to have a killer in a game than real life, but being completely unphased by something by just virtue of it not being real is, kinda hardcore.
@@user-pt2mx1ch9f and the way that the rate at which the atria and ventricles pumped blood got exactly 1% faster when he saw the cockroaches is just so funny to me 🤣🤣
Typo there. Winked* @@tempinformal - Snakes don't lick their eyes... they just have eye caps (which are scales that are different). Geckos lick their eyeballs for sure. Also I think the person meant that the snake only having one good eye is the sad part probably.
This Maya girl is great cause as she said “they’re not my favorite either” but she still lists and explains why they’re so important(the isopods). The fact she keeps animals/insects that she may not particularly enjoy shows her dedication to bettering the environment for all that live in it and educating others. Just sooo wholesome, I love it!!!
@bruh there is a possibility that i dont understand what you mean but if you are saying that someone had a bot to like this comment a lot of times then that is probably not true because the person who made the comment is someone who made a game on roblox that was popular for some time
i actually have massive respect for people who arent afraid of crawlies. i, for one, am absolutely terrified of them and start breakdancing when i see a roach in the bathroom
Lol, I get the sense they could become friends. Between his generally monotone demeaner and her genuine excitement with animals, I feel like they'd have a good time
When Charlie was holding the frog he looked like a kid showing off his science project (I would show my appreciation for this being my top comment but I'm not cringe so I'll ask you a math question what is 259 - 64)
I respect that despite his fear, Charlie is super careful with the critters. He set Georgie down so gently, and then asked if he was okay after. Props.
He more of sorta just dropped him in the container he was before but he was shaking since he was startled so I'll give him some slack, not like I could've done better. I would probably drop Georgie on the ground or toss him by accident.
@@JarthenGreenmeadow Still drops Georgie but at least he made sure to not harm it by just dropping it in the container. I was busy laughing to see this detail but thank you for pointing that out.
if you slow it down to 0.25 speed, he actually doesn't drop Georgie at all, he doesn't let go of him until he's safely in the water. the splash is from Charlie quickly pulling his hands out of the water. you can actually see him start to chuck it but then he makes sure to hold him a bit tighter and lower him.
I think the coolest part of this video was learning that Maya isn't just some streamer girl part of the streamer crew I keep seeing that are seemingly famous for just knowing each other. Knowing that she has this side of her where she actually makes a difference in the world and has a deep knowledge and passion for the animals in her care is honestly so wholesome, and I almost feel guilty for viewing her with the lens I did
I don’t know why people are commenting “Congrats on conquering your fear”, Charles was never afraid of them in the first place. His impeccable acting had you all fooled.
Thing is, though, he's admitted that palmetto bugs--the flying roaches, that is--are the ones he's scared of. You've only conquered half your fear, Charlie.
are those the really huge ones? I saw one of those on vacation back in high school. that thing was sitting on the top of the doorway daring me to walk through...that shit was like a Conqueror's Haki clash, I swear lmao
@@Just_Some_Yonko_With_A_Beard Yep. Lived in Florida my whole life, I'm genuinely afraid of them they are demonic, heartless motherfuckers. You try to sneak up on it with your Lvl 32 Adidas and then right before you strike, the 13 foot long beast will flap its eagle like wings so hard it feels like a helicopter if flying next to you. During your boss fight with the demon, its flying all around and with each second your chances of survival diminishes. You then quickly and sadly realize you're left with 2 options. 1. Use your special attack with the sheer HOPE of landing a successful hit to end this monsters reign. 2. You flee. You begin to see things, almost hoping this beast crawls out of the depths of hell so you can finally slay him and put your mind at ease. Living in terror for the next week. Checking every crack and crevice of your home before you move. You become jumpy at every shadow, whether it may be your loyal companion you a member of your family. Laying in bed, afraid that it might return in your slumber just to slither back for revenge and crawl into your nose, ears, or mouth to destroy you from the inside and take control of your body. To make you a slave to the ever growing Palmetto Apocalypse. Usually the 2nd of the two.
It's acc incredible how dedicated Charlie is to wearing the same white T-shirt no matter where he is like a cartoon character , when he goes on a trip like this he must just pack several of the same white T-shirt
You can tell how passionate is about her cause, how much she cares for ALL the animals, and I was SHOCKED to hear she did all this in only a year!! I’m so excited to see what she does in the future, with more support and finances! And I learned so many new interesting things in this video!! Thanks Charlie and Maya!!
Demetreuz Kilgore maya and (just in case you werent making fun of op for misspelling the name) yeah she co-hosted the streamer awards and I think lives in the same house as miz and others
I love the completely half-assed content warning. She's a gem. [pulls out the mouse but then retracts it] "If you don't want to look at stuff... just... don- [rolls her eyes, proceeds as normal.]
Mayas non profit was originally supposed to be a 3 year plan and she has accomplished so much in a year, shows the amount of work that she has put in, and it’s super cool to see it come to life
20:02 she actually said emu the right way! for non australians that probably doesn't mean much but americans typically don't say it right so hearing one say it correctly is pretty cool
27:39 No but the bird really did Aid in The Escape of 15 prisoners. The bird actually squawked once if there were guards, and then squawked twice if there were no guards. And while the prisoners were escaping one of the security guards had shot at the prisoners and unfortunately, the bullet had just skimmed the eye of the bird and that's why he has only one eye.
Charlie's comedy is so on point throughout the whole thing, I love how his defense mechanism somehow becomes relentless positivity. The "well don't let me have all the fun!" when the roach was moving around had me on the floor.
A cockroach got inside my ear one time, it even laid an egg inside there too. I remember one day waking up at around 4 am hearing a really weird but extremely loud noise in my right ear, it would sporadically happen every 30 seconds to a couple minutes. That was the noise of the cockroach moving inside my ear, and every time it happened it felt extremely uncomfortable. It definitely hurt but that wasn't the worst part, the sensation and the extremely loud noise it made every time it moved. EUGH my god, I knew imminently there was a bug in my ear after hearing it. When I got up I tried using a q tip to get it out, big fucking mistake. ended up just killing it and smushing its dead body all over my ear but I didn't know that at the time. I rinsed my ear with water while I was taking a shower and I thought it was all over. Like it fell out my ear and all was good. One week later I woke up to the worst pain of my life in my right ear. It was so bad I couldn't focus on literally anything, even typing out words was hard. It kept getting worse and worse and eventually I went to the emergency. Turns out that pain was an infection caused by the rotting body of the cockroach and prob the egg idk. They did a lot of shit to my ear, first, they used a syringe filled with water to fill my ear and they managed to get out the egg. Then after trying and failing to get the actual cockroach out they just decided to call in the expert. they used some suction shit to get out the rest and it hurt like crazy. my god is that shit one of the most painful and uncomfortable things u can feel. And she had to go in multiple times to get different pieces of that mf out. In the end, they got all of it out and I had to put some drops in my ear and take some pills for a month but all was good. Thankfully I've never really been scared of cockroaches so It wasn't nightmare fuel for me but it definitely was a scary experience. Long story short don't use q tips if something is inside your ear, use a syringe filled with water while tilting your head down and let gravity do its work.
Yeah when I was younger I accidentally get pencil lead in my ear it stayed in there for like 2 years and then I finally remembered it told mom about it and we went to the hospital and when they got it out I also had two rocks in my ear as well they were really small but that was scary
HOLY SHIT, bro thats is so CREEPY, especially me being like so fking scared of the big ones (is it a big one?) If so it's gonna be hell in your ears man. 😢😨
What the fuck. Where you do live? In an apartment? Specifically in NYC? Cockroaches are such a pain in the ass there, I've always had a fear that theyd crawl over me if I slept on a mat on the ground, or that theyd go inside my nose and ears. Now I know those fears can actually come true lol. I hate those buggers so much
Truly magnificent to see the growth of Charlie and defeating his previous fears. I can only hope to gather the wisdom and strength of this brave warrior
I encourage isopods in my garden with a compost pile that I rarely turn so that I don't disturb them, and with a thick layer of leaves heading into winter. Once spring comes the bottom half of the leaves have become fertilizer and the rest slows weeds.
As a ball python owner myself, I was delighted when she introduced Patchy and then disappointed when not a whole lot was said about him compared to the other animals. They’re such good noodles and being popular pets, they’re an educational topic worth covering so people can learn how to properly care for them in captivity.
Even if this video was made awhile ago, this is still one of the best videos I have to watch to cheer me up lmao. The way the frog jumpscares him is AMAZING
I love how she's trying really hard to tell all these neat facts about the animals, but she's too busy cracking up about Charlie that she barely manages to haha
Well there was an actual parrot irl that helped in a murder case. I heard of a story where a parrot (I believe it was an African Grey parrot) saw its owner got killed in front of it and it actually convict the husband (the parrot was the wife's pet) who murdered the wife. I believe the bird lives with extended family after the conviction.
One specific cockroach scares me quite regularly. My beautiful pet one who enjoys scaring the shit outta me by climbing around in the middle of the night and making far bigger thunking noises than anyone that small ever should. I love her.
They weren't the flying type. Sure he might've understood that the ground type are docile and are mostly harmless. But they flying types are out for fucking blood. Why am i calling them types like they're pokemon
I had hissing cockroaches as pets for a while, I took three in to my elementary school so we could have a class pet and after school I would walk around with them crawling on my shirt and the reactions were amazing, a lot of the other kids thought they were cool while a lot of the teachers hated bugs and it freaked them out and me and a bunch of my friends thought it was really funny.
