The media coverage of Gauff is just BEYOND ridiculous. She lost this match 4-6, 1-6 and somehow you’ve made 90% of this clip points that gauff won. Come on, madness

Why are all the highlighted points won by Gauff when shnaider won 6-4, 6-1? I don’t think the reverse would be true had Gauff won by that same scoreline… To be clear, nothing against coco. She’s accomplished so much already at such a young age and I hope she keeps going in that direction. Just want to see other deserving players get their flowers too.

Highlights sucked and didn’t showcase the 42 unforced errors from gauff and showed all her winners 😂. Shnaider deserved it and played smarter. They are just trying to hide how bad coco played
Unforced errors are not highlights. Highlights are not match summaries. I would actually prefer a match summary to see Shnaider working against Coco, who is very consistent against second-rate players, but does poorly against the top tier.
@@charlesfaure1189 I totally agree Shnaider played really well and deserved more points shown like beating a top player shouldn’t go unnoticed. But I think they shouldn’t include all of cocos winners because it makes it seem close and she was in control. Shnaider controlled points with her forehand and gauff was too far behind the baseline with the wind her shots would fly out.

Shnaider is playing really well and so is her doubles partner Andreeva... they beat everyone at the Olympics besides the Italian team and they just play great tennis so this win is not that much of a surprise
It's a huge surprise....Diana looked exhausted and barely beat two scrubs (Dart and Frech)....and of course had to come back to play the next day vs a rested Gauff. I thought Diana had it in her to gut out a win but a throttling here is unbelievable & a testament to the character of this future Russian star
@johnnythunder196 I watched her match with French live on stadium and i.must say it was 50/50.. French could win in 2 sets but made some stupid mistakes..but this is tennis 🎾 😆
Shnaider actually has a very solid skillset, as opposed to the Great American Hype, who's noted for a couple of things: 1) 'Double Fault', and 2) '...forehand into the net'. Diana won 29 points in the 2nd Set; this video showed TWO of them. L'il Hype won a mere 16 points in the set, yet the person who compiled this video chose to show five of them. The hype overload that's been continually showered upon the loser of this match for the last four+ years continues unabated. I'm looking forward to her falling to 5th in the rankings once we're past this year's Open... 'cause she's not going to defend at either Cincy or there. Stop trying to force specific players down fan's throats, WTA; those of us who are true fans of the sport possess the capability to watch, analyse, and choose who we wish to follow on our own.

When I saw Diana S on Coco side of the draw , I know that she could beat Coco Puff. This Diana is no joke. She hits hard and have some varieties. I can easily call it "Coco gauff syndrome " we will see shnaider playing so good this year. She will have expectations next year and she will lose everything like Coco this year . Sabalenka have to play late night match. did not finish till early morning hours...did not get in bed 3:am , then have to play coco who fully rested the same day..few hours later...this was plan to wear down her opponents

What happened to Coco? Did the French from Montreal arrive? I have been impressed with Shnaider in any match I have seen. She just goes about her business and focuses on the task at hand. 👍👍
WTA just hate seeing Gauff lose. Gauff was overwhelmingly shown to have won more points than Schnaider. More often than not, Gauff only wins matches because her opponents lose to themselves. Joke world No. 2.

They just hide this in the highlights and need to show the unforced errors and she needs help with the forehand. I agree what has she even done this year like she hasn’t beaten a top player. Ranking is about to plummet
She’s World number two because of her points and who she has beaten to get to number two not her matches…ranked by points….those points mean everything tennis, CoCo needs help with her forehead and her serve….hopefully she’ll get the right coach and improve
I knew D Shnaider was goin win. I knew she was goin to move some star players around when I first saw her first match in the rookie tournaments. She has arrived. Good job to both players. Coco will always be one of my favorites to watch but if I had to choose a winner between the both in a head to head match I will happily choose D.Shnaider👏👏👏

The MEDIA is trying so hard to make Gauff another SERENA. Don't waste your time she will never come close to being SERENA no matter how much and how hard they try. According to ESPYS Coco is best tennis player of 2023. In my opinion in 2024 she is at most #6 behind Swiatek, Paolini, Sabalenka, Rybakina, Zheng. Moreover Collins,Navarro or Krejcikova can overtake her spot soon. In Cincinnati both Putinceva in 2nd round or Badosa in 3rd can eliminate very early, at USO she will be under such big pressure as defending champion that she can lost very early too, like Vondrousova during Wimbledon.

As a Coco fan, I know she has only gotten fitter in the last four years. She is surviving due to her seed and a post-Henin, Osaka, Davenport, Williams, Seles, Graff era. I knew Diana would beat Coco in two straight because Coco cannot hide against a player with that heavy forehand and angle controls. If it all plays out, Diana will be in the top 8 by the end of the year. Coco needs a break and retool her forehand unless her best years are past her.
yup, it's not a strong era. Honestly if we went back to the 2000s, I think Iga is the only one who would've been a big name back then. I still love Coco tho, I hope she starts winning titles again soon 😔

I saw Coco play live 2 times and she is more of a counter puncher. She still has amazing athleticism and potential. Fingers crossed she finds the right coach.
The reason is... Shnaider was serving her a beat down , WTA is not going to show that to her fan base...lots of time when she get beat. they won't even show the lost
Yikes, Gauff losing in straight sets with 1-6 in the last set of a 1000 event. Bad showing for #2, very, very bad! Frankly, I think she plays on the edge of control too often. IMO, Schnaider looks to be the better player. Her backhand is stress free and hard and I think her rallying ability is very consistent. 3 titles and an Olympic silver medal this year and it ain't over yet. This youngster is looking like the next big thing in women's tennis.
