Coco gets a lot of criticism but this is a good win. She didn't play well first set but turned match around. The 11 double faults obviously not good. But she just got a new coach hopefully they can fix the serve.

Yulia actually hits a flat back hand which started costing her in the second and third set as the ball would be past the baseline many times. Overall very good performance from her and I sure will see more of her!

The problems don't immediately disappear once the coach leaves. She needs more time to work on the mechanics of the serve, but it's been nearly impossible due to how busy the season is. Hopefully she'll take some time over the holidays before AO 2025.

@@Ravencroft-kt2ty yes mechanics take time and its best to do it during off season. DFs are however more from stress and nerves, people were pinning it on Brad - Cocos lack of stress management on court

Coco Nutz is great against opponents outside the top 20. Barely had one top 20 win this year. The forehand actually looks a little better, but breaks down against the pressure a top 20 opponent puts on her. Her mental approach to the game and the way she constructs a point are weak.
