I only just found Coco and I LOVE her. I am from Long Island and lived in Los Angeles for 8 years. Coco is everything I miss combined in one fun person. In my dear Brooklyn mother's accent: "She's friggin gawgeous, don't kid ya selves. Believe you me honey, the way she looks at prices, dollas to donuts, that one still has the first nickel she eva made. You wont see a U-haul behind my casket."

Legend so has it that during the day of preparation, all mankind would be absent from the house in order to avoid the stinging of just the vapors of the pepper sauce - when she made it in her yearly batch, or for special occasions. Pure acid as far as I am concerned. My Mother is a Dragon as far as I know - she devours the thing with food - turning otherwise savory roti and pumpkin into a dueling devilishly devastating dance of fire and a lack of mercy. Do be a dear though - and include me on the Miss Coco Mailing List. My intrigue of this concoction - what we shall brand as "The 7 Chambered Scorpion"- shall be the thing of legends here in the U.S. For the hot mouthed - we make a sauce. For the mild mannered - a lip-pucker line (all natural, we will call it "Coco's CSL"). I'll take a 30% Share, You 30%, Granny 30%, Miss Coco 10%. Deal?

Oh, I love you Ms. Coco! Watching you reminds me of my childhood. When I was a little girl, I would go shopping with my mom, grandma, aunt and their female friends. We'd all pile in the car and take an all-day trip to Reading, PA. We'd shop at the big outlet stores. I remember spending quite a bit of time at the Ship and Shore Outlet! Oh I miss some things so much after moving away from LA -- Farmers Market, DuPars, the incredible Canters Deli & Bakery. Seems as though I went to Canters at least once every two weeks (and I'm not even Jewish). Canters, in my opinion, is the only Deli that matches the best Delis in NYC.
