Very interesting. In Monterrey we make it with ketchup and Clamato. It's cool to see how every person has there own way of doing it. Just because we're all from Mexico doesn't mean that all recipes are the same, they vary a lot actually. I give this video two thumbs up!
luiedaman umm NO. You just don't add ketchup if she's asking for the recipe it's because she wants to do it the right way. By the way ketchup is not the star of the recipe ORANGE juice is. So yeah please educate yourself before just adding ketchup!
Beatrice Flores ummm. if you dont know anything about mecican food then stay quite. Ketchup is allowed and there is like the grandma said many way to do it.
I have been watching you for quite some time but I tell you....it freaks me out when your abuela cuts up a tomato IN her hand. I just squirm until she's done. Other than that I enjoy you all. Thanks for posting these! Also is she juicing limes or a different kind of lemons?
My Mother does the same, and me too, onions, avocado, tomatoes, etc. I guess it is a Mexican thing. I lost it because I got tired of my husband screaming "You will cut your hands" that used to make me nervous and took me a while to get used to the cutting board. 😄
love cali LoL I know what you mean. I don't let her cut all of it. Just the beginning part so she can show you how. My mom or I usually do the rest of the cutting off camera. :)
Awww. She reminds so much of my grandma. I wish I could have taken videos of all those good recipes of her good cooking. Te extraño welita!! Anyway looks like a pretty good shrimp cocktail.
I always watch at least 3 recipes and then I watch Abuelas and hers are always the best.I'm from Cd Obregon Sonora but live in Amarillo, tx. She has the same style of cooking that my Grandmother used to have.
Love it!!! This has me thinking...can you do a tutorial on how to make ceviche de camaron!!! PLEASE!!!??? :-) Someone made it for a fundraising event and I loved it. My mom only makes fish ceviche.
Hello Silvia, first of all your abuela is adorable. I'm a new sub to your channel and I love all of abuela's dishes. I cringe a little watching her cutting up some of the ingredients in her hand but I see abuela is an OG with her knife skills. I would be missing some fingers. Lol
It is such a small world. I also recall going to our gramma's house in TJ (except we went to "parte baja") and enjoying her cooking! It is such a small world, who knows, they probably knew each other.
Are you endorsed by coca-cola? If not you should be! If they even supplied abuelita a generous supply monthly that would be great! Lol! It's nice when she eats and gives in a bit! Thanks for the yummy recipes...btw isn't abuelita's voice and hearing her talk so calming? Man, what a special thing :-) that must be a grandma thing huh?
Yummy!!!! La differencia de este platio mi madre lo hace con salsa tapatío no le agrega jalapeño ni naranja pero le quedo bien hermoso y delicioso ay son las 2:16 de la mañana y se me hizo agua en la boca jesus christ i love shrimps i hope i could eat some soon i already asked my momma to make some 😭😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😋
Don't forget to "please" and "thank you." Not only did Abuela never get a warm "gracias," the way you asked for the soda was flat out caveman. "A ver, hechame la cokita!" Didn't flatter you.
Thank you so much for videos like this. I have a Mexican boyfriend and his mom can throw it down in the kitchen like this! She’s such a good cook! And me, I have no idea how to cook😰 I’m sure you can imagine the pressure. I want to make sure I’m a wife who can cook too! The blessing is I got two hands, I got the resources. I just need to make the time. I will make this and continue to make different meals every week for my family that way when I do get married I will be prepared on the kitchen part haha thank you again ... seriously
Hola Abuela Cuando usted pueda podria hacer flan.
This looks delish! I'm in El Paso, and the folks here often use Tampico for the citrus and I do not like Tampico, so I'm going to try it this way. Thank you to your abuela for the recipe!!
🤔Hmm not sure if it's just me or I only see a bowl of the finished product at a stan still and it looks yummy😋 however I do hear you guys talking in Spanish which I'm not great at!
gracias abuela, was always afraid to make this, but after seeing your video. I'm not so intimidated. I just have to make sure i wash everything first. thanks again
Isn't this kinda like ceviche minus the clamato? I love everything you guys make ♡ so just curious if I'm right or well work ? I love shrimp as well so I would not want any other fish lol
