Code 89 Barina 1.6 Petrol thermostat diagnosis 

Update: This type of thermostat works just like conventional thermostat. The electric heater heats up the wax only. even if the electric part is not working, thermostat however continues to work in conventional way with coolant heat, meaning there is no risk of overheating as long as the thermostat is physically okay.
