I laughed so much when Lalouch became the Emperor. Ogi and the Black Knights thought that he was controlling them all with Geass? Well, look WHAT HAPPENS when he is using his Geass, you moppets!

ALL HAIL LELOUCH! i also loved that u understood what Charles wanted to do, as many first-timers are confused on that. a world with no future, who's would purpose is to "correct" or "undo" the past. Also i'd like to point out one thing. Charles valued the truth above all, yet had the power to give others false memories, turning people into living lies.

He didn't geass god. Because he have geass it allows his voice to be louder than everyone else. "everyone is not equal" -Charles. God heard him and everyone in the world voted and agreed with lelouch, if the majority had wanted to go along with charles' plan lelouch request would have been rejected. Charles is disappearing despite being immortal because he rejected reality, C2 no longer agreed to the plan, i.e. she accepted reality, that's why she didn't disappear.

I've actually looked at Lelouch's choice to go by the name of Zero as a statement against Brittania using numbers as a way to belittle the nations they conquered, zero being the smallest number means that no matter how small the person, they can make a difference. This also reinforces the idea that anyone could be Zero.

Also how else was Lelouch supposed to take the throne without using his Geass? Other then Suzaku he had no one else backing him politically in Britannia. With this one move he secured the backing of every major noble of Britannia to his ascension.

Simon, Nunnally is dead. Lelouch only has his ideals about a better world to drive him now. He already avenged himself on his parents as well. Suzaky lost his moral motivation after killing 15 to 25 million people two episodes ago. From here on it's all about the greater good now.

The divine right to rule is one thing, but becoming Emperor _dei gratia_ after mind controlling God to not go Evangelion on the world is on a whole other level. Mommy is still alive after Prince Munchkin shot her by shunting her mind into a little girl, but while Simon claims at 5:36 that this turned her into John Cena I don't really see it. But mommy and daddy turned out to be jerks who agreed to cripple, blind and mindwipe Nunnally then send her and Lelouch away so that they could poke God with sticks in peace. But they got their just desserts, and somehow Lelouch, Suzaku and C.C. (who got her memory back) escaped the stairway to heaven even though the exit was blown up.

Sunrise studios has explicitly stated that in the main timeline lelouch is dead and he never got charles code. If he had got his code (which is impossible given that lelouch didnt have a contract with charles which is how codes are transfered when contracts are completed) he would have lost his geass power of absolute obedience and not been able to become emperor.

Isn't it funny that simon rooted for lelouch to foil charles plan in his reactions, but doesn't say much when we see lelouch outright geass ppl and controlling them against there will to amass power that isn't his by royal right...guess that's fine if it's the mc or he has good intentions and yet charles plan had elements of that but we must downplay that and point out it's wrong. I like lelouch but he was to our knowledge at this point acting like a hypocrite. Sidenote I have already seen the whole anime thus my statement about to our knowledge.

I didn't say anything at this point because i was confused as hell by what Lelouch was up to, he saves the world only to then become a fascist dictator? I watched the last episodes back to back so i didn't speculate too much as i knew i'd be seeing the answers fairly quickly.

I'd say the difference is that lelouch is more aware of what his actions do to others and doesn't sugarcoat how wrong they are. Besides we see him in his bouts of guilt throughout the series.
