Lelouch chose CC the moment he chased after her and gave himself the name LL. the outcome is still the same, he didn't abandon her as she didn't abandon him from day one when he got his geass to turning into an emperor (where everyone turned their backs on him save for CC) to his death. I loved how Lelouch learned to love, show forgiveness, and compassionate. He comprehend everything CC has done to him. especially when he wasn't himself for a year, searching half of his self. forever together, and CC's tears at the end was beautifully made. it shows how she accepted her humanity once again after abandoning it. the moment she gun pointed Lelouch was also showing how she never gave up hope for the first time in years because of Lelouch, he was her hope.

I don't know of C.C is giving Geass's to anyone, but from what the after credits and Picture Drama showed, they are going around the world taking Geass from the people who received them by chance from when Shamna scattered the pieces around the world. Lelouch kills them if they're misusing it while C.C collects them afterwards. In the Picture Drama from the movie, they've been doing it for over 10 years, but since they don't age no one believes that it's really Lelouch Vi Brittania that they're facing. I also like how they have a lot of romantic moments between the 2 of them in the Picture Drama, honestly should have been an OVA.

I really love the character development of c.c, I mean at first she just want to help lelouch to get what she wanted at the end. But now, she looks like she will do anything to be with him again.

This scene makes me happy. The creator gave us justifiable ending between cc and lelouch. 10 years of waiting. This is so beautiful and this is JUSTICE. hihi. Long live kings and queen of Geass.
My heart jumped so many times throughout this movie especially when Lelouch returned. I was so happy to see him again and for C.C. to see him. It was selfish of her to bring him back to fulfill her wish, but this also became Lelouch's second chance that he could do anything with. Despite her selfishness, she took care of him for a year and never gave up on him. In the end, Lelouch could've let her leave on her own, but he chose her and it just hits hard seeing C.C.'s emotions. She deserved this happy ending and Lelouch deserved to have this peaceful ending I've always wished for them. I can finally feel satisfied, canon or not. This is how I see Lelouch and C.C.'s ending from now on.

This movie is not only about rescuing nunnaly and lelouch's resurrection, its also about love, A beautiful love story of a demon and witch. Sometimes fairytales isn't about prince and princesses. C2 touching tears and smile is worth a thousand years of waiting.

He's not the cart driver, he has the brains of a baby in that scene. You can even tell from the dead look in his eyes, and the following scene of him falling over while still wearing those clothes.

I was able to watch the Australian premiere last night. Oh my goodness. I felt like crying when it finished. **Spoilers** It's a great film. It showed how the others felt when they finally figured out how/why Zero Requiem happened. It was great to see the old characters come together. Also, amazing to see Lelouch being his usual Lelouch self (overconfident etc.. ), and that he doesn't sacrifice his people/comrades just to get what he wants now. The mecha in this film is really great, too. The movie created some questions for me though.. but anyway, I am so happy that Lelouch and C.C ended up together!

It felt like it was coming from someone who regretted not being able to say what he truly felt to someone he loved or someone important. The film was in Japanese but English subtitles. He did not sound angry that’s for sure. More like, he was happy..
I love Code Geass so much. How long has it been and i still cant find any anime, movie, tv series or anything that can beat this masterpiece. I just finished code Geass… what a ride man… it may have had its REALLY HIGH MOMENTS and some pretty low or wtf moments but overall I can definitely say that I enjoyed it and I’m glad I saw it through to the end. This might just be my recency bias but I feel like I can say with certainty that this was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had watching an anime. What a rollercoaster…
This movie is giving me much nostalgia for C.C and Lelouch… C.C. did everything for Lelouch. I think that both of them always have special connection to one another yet with all the freaking odds coming on their way, they can't seem to draw a conclusion for their true emotions. At the end, I just love how it ended up... Lelouch running after C.C. and now they're both immortals - meaning they'll be stuck with each other for all eternity long! My ship will be sailing forever...I LOVE THEM BOTH!!! Best come back and movie ever! It's beautiful! I'm literally screaming every now and then!!1

It's amazing how much CC cares about Lelouch and doesn't want to cause any trouble to him(she thinks that Lelouch has suffered cos she gave him the Geass and thus, tries to drive him away). Lol, she calls herself self-centred, but she's only Lelouch centred. The other side is also the same. CC is also everything for Lelouch. The Geass that CC possessed has now worked for eternity, and thus, LL has fulfilled his promise by making her smile.
We all know C.C. was with Lelouch in EVERY thing. During his ups and downs C.C. was there (School, Black nights, Britannia... they also share 1 room hehe), truly this couple is meant to be for eternity!
Code geass will go down as an amazing anime! I've watched it several times and it's just such an amazing experience. The ending is perfect and probably one of the best ever

code geass will always be on eof the best anime, the actors, the characters, the plot, soundtracks, animations, mechas, the whole lot. its also the 3rd anime i ever watched i dont know why i clicked on it when i did but i was hooked after the first episode, all those years ago glad i got to experience this.
The terms of the contract they had was for lelouch to grant cc’s wish in exchange for power. at first, we all thought that cc’s wish was to die considering that it almost came to be during the episode where emperor charles was going to take her code and kill her. but moments later, she changed her mind because she was torn knowing that to die was not her true wish. moments later, lelouch saves her from falling into the abyss of c’s world, screaming “I know what your true wish is.” let’s rewind a few episodes back when we found out that cc’s geass was to command people to love her. ever since she was a poor, homeless, and lonely child, she’s only ever wanted for someone to truly love and care for her. also, that one episode where she asks lelouch to call her by her real name with “tenderness, from the heart,” provides more evidence that her true wish is to be loved. now that all that’s out of the way, let’s go back to the present. why else would cc go through all of the trouble to revive lelouch? during the movie, in the truck when they were on the way to the prison, kallen, incredibly shook, asked cc the reason as to why she wants to revive lelouch like it was to desecrate his legacy. well, she did it out of love and the desire to be loved by the one person who truly knew her. she said it was because of their contract. in this video, c2 falls in tears when lelouch renames himself “L2,” and chooses to journey with her, because this essentially meant that lelouch was willing to become another geass master alongside cc. another master who loved her and knowing that they were both immortal, he would stay with her forever. the eternity of suffering she has endured to find fulfillment has finally came to an end. all the emotions created during her experiences with lelouch, the relief, the heartbreak of losing the person she was looking for but ending up finding her way back to him, all these emotions flooded in at that moment. she puts out a genuine smile that she never would’ve thought she would have, and bursts into tears. thus, the contract completed “I promise i’ll give you the smile you’ve never had” -lelouch If you’ve watched the end scene after the credits, l2 and c2 seem to have lived out together as masters, killing incompetent geass users, and granting those who had the resolve the power of geass. A good closure and happy ending
I rewatched the movie and so i'm here with all the feels again. 😭 when I first watched the series, I only shipped Lelouch with CC, but I already prepared my mind that they're not gonna end up together because as we all knew, Lelouch girls are all over the place. Also, his character was made for the rebellion and basically the anime's focus wasn't romance. Can you imagine the feeling I got when I realized that they're gonna be the end game for real. When Lelouch said "I'm back/home,CC" then CC replied "Welcome home, Lelouch" , the butterflies on my stomach just went wild. And then that ending where Lelouch chose to be with CC, rather than to stay behind a live with nunally. For me, that's a big moment for Lelouch X CC ship, considering how Lelouch dedicated more than half of his mortal life to Nunally. 😭 Back in the series, Lelouch did told the ff to CC: "if you're a witch, I will become a warlock" "I promise, I'll make you smile" And so Lelouch finally did. My ship has finally sailed in peace. A dream come true. 😭
I waited for a year n finally I got to watch it M in my late 20s now n m shipping them since I was in school, it's a freaking long journey and finally the promise and someone's wish both came true. Best ever !!
Reminder that Lelouch of resurrection is an alternate timeline. The first 3 movies of R3 were recaps of R1 and R2 but they changed a few parts like how Shirley is alive again. The last movie among the 4 just makes me so happy and sad again because finally Lelouch can grants CC's wish! The part where CC burst into tears when Lelouch said his name will be L2 made her realize that finally it's for her to be happy with him, Lelouch, the only one who accepter her as whole and finally they can be together for eternity hunting down the remaining geass users from Shamna's group! If this is accurate, Base on the lyrics I think that this song is somehow Lelouch's song for CC and how he wants to step up again cause of her. So sweet. Love it. 😍
I watched this movie for the first time last night. Was it fan service? Most likely. Did it need to exist or be made? Not necessarily, but I can't deny the joy I had seeing these different personalities come together again. The movie doesn't feel like a soulless cash grab. It respected the original ending and sacrifice that Lelouch made by showing that everything he did wasn't completely in vain. You had characters working together and (minor spoiler) you see Ohgi and Viletta's wedding party with most, if not all, characters around each other. Of course the action doesn't disappoint. At the end of the day, I think the ending of the original series was the perfect ending, but this isn't bad either.
Just done watching Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrecion a few days ago. Dude, I'm still crying like hell. How I love this anime since childhood. Lelouch's death broke my young heart. This movie is superb, all the longingness and sadness I felt before fade away in an instant. L.L and C.C, our immortal ship is sailing! ❤
