I love your in-depth review of this bag. I do hope you get to try the x-tote/3-way messenger from COB as well! To more subs!

Hey awesome video! Just wanted to know as I'm also from the UK and thinking to get this bag. Can you say what website you purchased this from thanks!

Hi there - thanks for watching. I bought mine direct from the Code of Bell site but it was shipped from the Netherlands. Watch out for that import duty! I was charged £42 to get it into the U.K. - wasn’t charged that at the checkout - that was an extra charge from customs, before they would deliver it.

Do you still have the pack? I'm really interested in the long term impressions.

@TerryDavis66 5 дней назад
@@werb24 Hi, yes I do still have the pack and use it often though I find it too big to be an everyday pack. I tend to go with my Bellroy Venture Sling 9L as my every day. This pack is great for a specific purpose. AS I said in the video, if you are going away for a couple of days and want a few bits of clothing and tech. It is a real niche purpose bag though and for either daily carry or longer trips it’s not really great for either.

Does anyone know how this handles during a downpour? I can't tell if the zippers are aqua guard quality
@TheViewFromTheAttic
@TheViewFromTheAttic Месяц назад
The main zippers are weather shield and I’ve had it out in the rain and the interior of pockets stayed dry. The smaller side pockets, however are ordinary zips and so I probably wouldn’t trust them in a real downpour. Especially as they are the posters most likely to pus headphones or car key remotes.

@@TheViewFromTheAttic would you say the backpack harness is a worth it accessory?
@TheViewFromTheAttic
@TheViewFromTheAttic 3 месяца назад
@@RGOmd I think it largely depends on how much you carry and for how long. I tend to take my MBP 13" and all cables and stuff with me all the time. Add the weight of my EDC stuff to that and it can really wear on the shoulder as a sling. I'd say give it a few weeks of use and see if that's a problem and if it is then the harness will definitely solve that. I was just lucky enough to find one on eBay and snapped it up! hope that helps.

Received my evo bag a couple days ago. Fantastic pack, and as another person said ..thanks for this video and revealing some of the otherwise hidden pockets. Tremendous review and rundown of the pack . I own the COB xpod one, which I purchased second hand a last month. I’ve since gone on a bit of a COB shop fest, I’ve bought this xpac evo + harness, the annex liner sacoche, and the annex 3-Way Traveller Sling. I’m considering the x-tote or double name project 420 back pack next. Hooked on COB! Amongst other bag/brand addictions. My other expensive habit is climbing, in particular I’m partial to Arc’teryx for much of my soft goods, and packs. I look forward to watching more reviews from you, hopefully soon . Cheers !

Hi - thanks for the lovely comments. I’m a bit of a bagaholic too. Peak Design, Bellroy, Oakley, Boundary Supply and Fjallraven to name a few. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect sling or day bag and I’m not sure it exists. I’m beginning to follow the mantra ‘A bag for the occasion, not for every occasion’. I am finding I use the X-Pak above the others now though. I’ll be doing more reviews soon but have had some personal stuff going on that has taken my focus.

@@TheViewFromTheAttic In as far as the edc world goes , I am currently partial to COB ,Tom Bihn, Alpaka and Matador. Alpaka items are constructed well, but I like their organizers and wallets more than their bags. I have yet to buy a matador bag , but have accessories from them. I own two packs from Tom , and a ton of organizers. One of TB’s bags of mine is made from xpac - Synapse 19, the other is ballistic nylon - Copilot. I prefer the xpac by a long shot because it retains it shape. I used to own a climbing pack from pack from Arc’teryx about 20 years ago called the Needle 55. Tremendous pack which I eventually sold on eBay . I used to run a local climbing gear shop and would get wholesale deals on merchandise from the vendors. Dirt cheap gear = wayyyyyyyy too much merchandise lol. I thinned out my stock over the years , down to more essential packs which I use more in the outdoors. Now I find myself collecting again but for edc and travel packs , but without that great discount or demo pack freebies ! Anyhow , I hope all is well with you , nice chatting!

Yeah I saw that - I’m not really sure why you’d want an annex pack, when the bag already accommodates a laptop.
@tourdetor
@tourdetor 6 месяцев назад
Slight overkill indeed, but it can hold a bigger laptop. Also it helps with weight distribution (according to COB web page).
