I appreciate that. Yessir gotta take care of these rides. If you haven't already please consider subscribing and Liking the video. It really helps the channel grow. Thanks again.
This was definitely my issue. I just went ahead and bought a coil same day delivery today, and I switched them around until I found the bad one. It was the second one, 2 and 5. Now it's running great. It was getting very bad, not wanting to accelerate sounding like a grinding machine gun. Now I can gun it up to 60 pretty quick no issues! Thanks so much for this!
I'm glad you got it diagnosed and fixed! Nothing like saving a few bucks. That same day delivery must be nice! If you haven't already please consider subscribing and Liking the video. It really helps the channel grow. Thanks again

check your plugs and wires first then work your way down to your coil pack then the module,if all else fails try a fuel pressure gauge,it also can be the fuel the older the car you need to run a higher octane fuel like mid grage

I collect lesabre cars my daily is a 95 model. 209k and still going. I got a 05 lesabre not has a 0305. After i cleared up the p0300. Ignition control module is next. Plugs wires fuel filter. Changed.
Some of the best cars ever made imo. I have an 04 Lesabre as well (currently needing a trans 😢) Thanks for watching and for the Subscription. I appreciate it!
Your videos help a lot. I have a 2004 park ave one day it was having trouble starting but ran good once it started. Few days later I started it and drove it like 25 ft and the gas pedal wasn’t accelerating at all. I tried to put it in park and restart it but now it just doesn’t want to start. I replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump and check the fuses. You think it can be my coils?
Sounds like it could be a loose connection somewhere. I remember running into that in the past and one of the spark plug wires had Rubbed on something making it short out sometimes.
Well done I’m having same problem with my 05 the 2 and 5 coil pack wouldn’t spark . Bought new pack and the car won’t even start now. My next step is just getting new coil module
I thought I may have been heading that way. Make sure you don't have any corrosion on those module connections. I've fixed one in the past and that was the issue. @@HowIDoItFaM thank you for the quick reply. I don’t understand why it won’t fire now when I got it home and shut it off it would start up then. Maybe cuz it was still warm idk. So much for an easy fix I thought lol. Thanks again I subscribed to your channel
Man i have a misfire and have for months now..ive changed wires the plugs the ignition coils the icm module the cam sensor and crank sensor and i still cnt figure it out its a head ache..i jus got another code fuel injector number 5 replaced that and it runs a little better but not like it should ..and its a 06 buick lucerne cxl 3.8
It's almost impossible to diagnose something like that since I'm not there in person. You've changed most of the main components in the ignition system already out sounds like. When you changed that injector has the code returned? It possibly could be be a dirty fuel filter, or a bad fuel pump. I've had a semi functioning fuel pump that have new misfires like that. The other culprit I've seen is a slipping timing belt.
Yea I have changed out all ignition related parts .it's been kicking my azz too and hurting my pockets..the code hasn't came back on since I changed all of the ignition parts and the #5 fuel injector I also cleaned the other injectors and made sure the spray patten were a fine mist not a drip or dribble and they all were not stuck and fine..But although no check engine light has came bck on it just still feels like she isn't all the way bck to 100% ya know ..its like chasing a ghost..I just want to find the culprit ya know..
It's hard to diagnose since I'm not there in person. Could display a number of symptoms though. Complete no start is one, it also could display the same symptoms as bad ignition coils. First thing I would do is to check for spark at the coils. Does even attempt to start? A sputter? Back fire?
4 and 1 coil pack keep loosing spark? All coils new and board. I'll swap one out and it will spark again. Anyone got an idea of what's causing coil pack 4 and 1 to act up?
Have you changed your plugs. I know sometimes fouled plugs on these cars can cause strange things. If it the plugs are good I would look into the coil module. ( I can't diagnose since I'm not there) but I'm leaning towards it being that coil module.
Dealing with a crank no start. I know I got fuel to the Rail (the fuel pump runs and the Schrader valve squirts fuel), but no spark or no potential injector pulse. Can I use this to verify a no spark?
@@HowIDoItFaM okay. Was gonna say I just took the wires off the bottom coil pack.. crank.. nothing. I put those back and take off the wires at the middle coil pack.. crank.. still nothing. If I removed the wires from a coil (kinda like it is in your thumb nail) would spark still jump across the towers
You should see at spark at that coil with that wire off ( I wouldn't recommend checking it like that without tool) even still you should see spark at the coil. You have some one that can verify if there is spark at the coil with the wire off?
@@HowIDoItFaM yeah I had my roommate check it for me. I removed the #1 spark plug at the tower to see if spark would bounce off the tower and the coil pack. No dice So I removed #1 and #4 wires (basically the bottom coil), no spark jumped between towers. Remove the wires from the middle coil and again, no spark jumping across the towers. Needless to say I'm in for either a crankshaft position sensor or a ignition control module. Luckily the ICM is easy and cheap to replace
Yep I just about to say sounds like you might be looking at a icm... I know sometimes the connections on the icm can get corroded, so check that out too.
Without checking it out in person, it's kinda hard to say. Since you've already changed a few things it's possible it could be your ignition module its self. Here's a link to what it looks like. www.carparts.com/details/Buick/Park_Avenue/DriveWire/Ignition_Coil/2000/KIT-082516-16.html?TID=gglpla&origin=&&&gclid=CjwKCAjw6IiiBhAOEiwALNqncaP3pHAUzDe1g-YkOu-cEeudz859u1lSEgh5yMUu2QETe5xkOQI_XxoCHbQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds This is what the coils connect to. Before changing it though make sure you have the coils and wires connected correctly and corrosion free.
Could be injectors. I would definitely rule out everything else first. I actually had a lasabre that misfired because of a bad fuel pump. It wasnt pumping enough fuel. A fuel pressure test could rule out that.
98 lesabre. Mine was replaced not far after 100,000 miles.ecm(computer in engine covered) soon too.car just shut off driving one day few years ago.mechanic replaced it. American cars nice ride...but need wooden always. Toyotas far outlast any American car.
Toyota does make a fine automobile especially some of those camry years! I love my Buicks though the ride is super nice. Thanks for watching I appreciate that.
