Very sad for the poor asthma woman, it's very hard to get those patients back since they went into cardiac arrest secondary to acidoses and hypoxia, and add on to that prolonged down time. If you have asthma, or any other respiratory disease PLEASE take it seriously and call 911 or go to an emergency room if your inhalers are not working or you are concerned about your breathing!! Rest In Peace.

What makes people do hoax calls to emergency services is a mystery to me. One day it could be them needing an ambulance, police or fire, and no one comes because some idiots made a hoax call, so nothing is available. In one way it would serve them right, but in another they to should get the help they need, despite being hoax callers. Really wish the punishment for hoax calls were punishable by a short stay in prison at his Majesty's pleasure.

I think most of the time it is kids, and they don't understand or think about the consequences of their actions.

I think a hotline for such calls would be good for emergency services to have.

It's crazy how many people are being called to a cardiac arrest. In Germany you would have 3 Paramedics and 1 Doctor. Here are like 8 People or so. It shows really hood, how good the system works in great britian :)

I would prefer to have 4 people there than like 8 who almost step on each other’s toes. You can see how little space there is to begin with in that flat. People already have to step over the patient in order to move. Granted, manpower might absolutely come in handy when moving the patient but unless you have a severely obese patient, those 4 people will usually do. But the British clearly have different SOPs where there are specialised and dedicated units for lots of things. Whereas in Germany there are fewer people but each with more qualifications. It’s not „better“ or „worse“, it’s just a different way of working. But during that resuscitation there’s way too many people standing around. At least too many for my liking. I personally would clear out anyone who is not directly working on the patient or preparing medication.

In the USA, all you get is one EMT and one medic half the time, some EMT trained FFs if you're lucky

@@jatticusfancypants9624I couldn't agree more they send 2 people and they treat you like trash they did it to my mom who was a 2 time cancer survivor at 22 then at 48 found out she had cancer again she passed at age 50 on October 19th,2022 but they treated my mom like crap because of where we live we live in Philadelphia Pennsylvania in Kensington to be exact it's one of the biggest drug spots in the United States look it up it's crazy they have live cameras feed of dealers and addicts just doing it out in the open it's on RU-vid but because of that they treat cancer patients like trash they did it me to and I have type 2 diabetes epilepsy COPD and high blood pressure with an even longer list of health problems it's ashame though we need a real doctor and nurse or something instead of what they send us and most times they don't know half of what to do it's crazy more people would live if they would implement something other countries do.

@@DeputatKaktus I think that's a pretty good point of view. I didn't think about this at first, but now I see the problem. 8 People might be to much. Not only there is little space and they have to step over the patient, but 8 people are forced to stay there and other patient might have to wait longer, due the fact that 8 people are bonded there

I appreciate they show the good outcomes and the bad outcomes, even though it’s sad. It’s important to see and to learn about. A lot of shows similar to this only shows people who have good outcomes with full recoveries.

I’m sorry for your loss. As an ems helicopter pilot in training who wants to start an air ambulance service, this is the worst thing that happens at a call. After a death like that, I would put that crew on leave for a week and have other crews take over and extend their shifts. Also, why don’t you attempt VA ECMO cannulation as this might have raised the chance of that woman surviving not much but enough to be worth the extra work. On our helicopters, flycars, and mobile ICUs we would have ECMO equipment ready. Not to sound like a cop, you guys should consider becoming ECMO certified.

It amazes me the focus is on finding out whether the patient is a girl or boy before they give instructions on CPR! 🤦‍♀

As a former Medic in America, I can tell you that once CPR is started it is more difficult to get information from the caller. Age and sex of patient are both important info, to know who to look for, the family can often be distracting to the EMS crew.the few seconds can count, but when unknown time has passed it may not matter.
