I always say that, Carte Blanche should be appointed as the new SCORPIONS. Not regulated by government but protected by the Constitutional Court. Working for the people of SA and giving justice, law and order to our beloved country. Working with all Law enforcement agencies not being intimidated by politicians but standing for the people for what is right, fair, truthful and lawful. The staff put their lives on the line to provide sensitive topics and exposing more criminals then our current police minister. Keep doing what you are doing as nothing beats the truth. 🙏

Not quite. The staff member with her face covered was allegedly part of the syndicate. I love Carte Blanche but they get things wrong all the time. They're journalists, not detectives.

This is happening in Kimberley. We have a pharmacy in Homestead its called BusyBee. Those people sell packages upon packages of sleeping tablets aswell as codeine based meds. Completely unethical it seems anyone can open a pharmacy in SA.
Carte Blanch. Go and dig a little deeper. Dr Heunis and Hamnes Strydom played rugby together many years ago. When Hannes opened his pharmacy , Dr Heunis soon moved in after. Of course they know each others dealings.
It might be wrong and or illegal but here is my story. I have lived a very healthy life for 40 odd years. then I raptured discs in my neck. No medical aid means no operation (R1,3mill). Now what? you still have to work but the constant pain kills you faster than anything. So now I have to use 20 to 30 mg per day just to cope. If it were not for the codeine, I do not know what else I would've done. Nope. Get our public health services to operate the way it should and trust me I would not need codeine.

Some of the codeine ends up in Zimbabwe, there is a huge market for that product here. It's a transnational syndicate making millions of American dollars
I used to consume codeine not for a long time. The day i stopped was the day I drank codeine and I felt my body wanting to shut down completely in the middle of the high. Thats when i knew huh uh, theres something not right about this thing.

But it's not only his pharmacy doing this, I can easily name 10 that sell this in bulks and boxes, issue is the story is only interesting when it's a big person, while small pharmacies doing this too... Bezvaley, Kensington, betrams, all those pharmacy selling this nonsense to kids yet nobody doing anything.

I find it hard to understand why they don't just stick to policy and run business in a clean manner. They are already allowed to sell coedine at specific amounts per regulations but greed is driving them. That greed then leads to their downfall.
Unfortunately SAHPRA is as corrupt at Hannes Strydom, probably a bit cash to the right person will allow Hannes to go international. Sunny South Africa for many shady people.
With the new look of Carte Blanche, they unfortunately got rid off all the last remaining investigation journalists worth their salt. This story tarnished the image of a rugby legend and only serves to give credit to the real criminals.

We always say you can see who has something to hide by looking at how they react to CB. And Hannes has all the tell tail signs of someone who has something to hide. This is not the first CB story to tough his sphere. He has been implicated before.
The fact is that the employees who stole (R50m) from the pharmacy, reported the owner at Carte Blanche for illicit trade to cover their thefts.....a clever ploy, and Carte Blanche fell for their trick!!! Not very clever CB....this may sink your "investigative journalism"......bye bye Carte Blanche, I've always appreciated your reports.....not any longer!!!
