You've never heard a woman be described as "the town bicycle" before? Shared by everyone.... Everyone's had a ride..... I know that's not just a UK thing, cuz I'm from Texas. lol >_> It's hilarious to me that Apple and Sophie immediately knew it.

I’ve heard it, but no idea from where

@@Nefyoni Pretty sure I've heard it in a ton of movies / shows. (And I'm in the US as well.) Can't actually think of any specific examples though. EDIT: Hm, the TVTropes entry "ReallyGetsAround" lists a TON of examples of characters (including men too, not just women) who could be described with this phrase, but I'm not sure that the phrase itself was ever actually used in any of the movies / shows / etc. listed there. Feels more like something that a reviewer or a react channel might say about something they watched in these cases.

Isn't the phi in Delphi pronounced the same as the beginning of the word fire (or in other words, rhyming with lie or pie)? That's how I remember learning it in AP English senior year of high school 20+ years ago. Never heard it any different from that until now. There was even a distinction explicitly made when Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword came out that the character Fi's name was pronounced the same as the Greek letter phi and NOT like the word fee. Because some people were looking at that name and thinking of it like the character Fi (short for Fiona, pronounced as fee) from the show Burn Notice.

It is not. It's pronounced "del-fee". The Greek letter ϕ is pronounced "fee" in an ancient Greek as well.
