Most players and even sports people are waiting to see games and how they do to make better sense and evaluations … Year 1 is Very Important for future recruits…. There is a lot of unknown is peoples minds now that’s kind of why Kentucky not getting much love in preseason polls …. It’s OK being the under dog just to see people being surprised when season starts ⛹️♂️🏀😉
It’s also KSR’s job to fan the flames with the fans too… in my opinion, no matter how much these guys yap, I’ll believe the team’s performance when I see it.
I just love how you guys are so optimistic about the word “retain” coaches can want to retain all they want, the reality is the transfer portal is lurking every year, and if your being real with your self; players aren’t retained anywhere anymore if a players isn’t getting clock and paid, they will go somewhere they will.
I don't think Coach fueger has had any time to do anything from how People talk about his work ethic like he is a class of his own in that regard. He is going to be soo loved by the fan base. I do worry how he can relate to the inner city kids but im sure he will be okay. Either way we are looking at a big time future head coach in the making.
I have really high expectations for this team and teams to come under coach Pope because he has won a championship here he knows what it means and how it feels
I still can't help but wonder what the situation with Keegan Brown is. I thought for sure he would be a member of this staff by now, and it still might happen, but it's remarkably silent on that front. I was hoping that Cody was asked about it, in some form or fashion.
Pope needs to get both those ky kids. Any uk coach has to keep the local kids at uk. It will be telling if he doesnt get at least one of them. But needs to get both
Stokes is the kid Pope best not let get away. Moreno would be a bummer to not see stay in Ky, at UK. Jasper? Theres other guards I'd rather have at his expense. He's never seemed high on Ky, much less half way all in on coming to UK. Magwoods a better fit than Jasper to me. Lets get em all. Yay!
I had Reed as the number 1 pick from word go. And it was TOTALLY because I know ball and all that, and not because Jeff is my favorite player at UK, and I therefore had wildly unrealistic expectations for Reed.
Hubert Davis gets guys and he can’t coach he has not made a lotto pick with all his five star guys and Jon shyer not coach k and his guys drop he don’t develop them it’s all about the money
I think Rebe Nate Ament and Mullins are and should be the top targets in ok with Acaden Lewis or a senior transfer starting guard I’d take Jasper and I’m ok with him coming but this class doesn’t come down to him and Moreno I’m taking Rebe over Moreno all day especially in a pope system
U know what’s funny, byu has best coach they have ever had now. Eating up recruits left and right. Kentucky is done. UConn completely left the building, duke, Kansas, unc are light years ahead of Kentucky. Alabama, tenn, auburn are all better, with better coaches.
Bringing on fueger to to discuss recruiting around the same time we’re gonna loose the best player in the state to ALABAMA of all places, and loosing interest on other 5 star NBA prospects is convenient. I don’t want to hear that’s not popes recruiting forte, he said he would get them and signed a coaching staff to do that, and loosing the best player in the state is gonna be a nightmare in year one. 15:19
