The Bantamweight Division is stack than ever with a Champ and Former Champions since Jose Aldo is coming back from retirement. There's O'Malley, Sterling, Yan, Cejudo, Dillashaw, Garbrandt, Cruz and Figureido.
You know Dillashaw retired right? And Sterling went to 145. And you missed on the best 135er in Umar Nurmagomedov but also Merab, Song Yadong, Jonathan Martinez, Chito, obv Cory Sandhagen, Said Nurmagomedov, Chris Gutierrez, Ricky Simon, Montel Jackson, the list just keeps going on.
Umar is the guy that almost got knocked out by an unranked fighter his last fight right? How did you decide he is the best in the division without beating any ranked guys @@donnyrockett7490
Cody sounds really clear minded. Not gonna ready much into it but if nothing else him being in a calmer state of mind and seemingly more content is nice.
Everyone so high on figgy and got Cody as a huge dog the disrespect is a bit crazy but Cody gonna bust a shit ton of parlays and get the boooyyssss this cash. LFG Cody remind them who you are
I don’t think Cody is a mentally weak person. Overconfidence has been a detriment but I don’t think it’s sheer stupidity because how could you not be confident in yourself with the skill ceiling this guy possesses
Glad to hear he's happy to just be on ufc 300 instead of headlining it or on the main card. His mental is in the right state and it seems like he's feeling sharp mentally and physically. His instagram shows the hardwork too.
For them to get a draw and both progress it would have to be an absolute war, and I don't think codys chin can handle that I hope he gets an exciting knock out, nothing against figgy though
🤣🤣🤣🤣 a title fight haha not while he has a hole in his arse he will be koed beat a couple of nobody,s he thinks he can fight for the title no chance i might be a bit biased i hate his personality i have no love for him at all
There’s sooooooooo many good fights for Cody at 135: yan, Sandhagen, Suga, Aldo…. Man we would be robbed of some classics if we never see these happen.
Why is the interviewer pushing the notion that fighting early on a card is such a 'good' thing? Never mind that position implies that it's not the fight people are there to see (after all, if it were it wouldn't be so early because who leads with their best fight? It makes no sense. And that's not to say that a fighter can't surprise people, though let's not pretend that it's where fighters typically want to be, particularly one who's been around as long as Cody Garbrandt). And I have no issues with Garbrandt as a fighter, but the way he's being stroked in such an obvious manner is a little off-putting.
Many fighters would prefer to fight earlier, unless they have the option to get PPV points. It kind of sucks to be the main event and have to wait for hours
@@bigben42 Did I say anything about what someone prefers? What I said was that fights at the beginning of a card are typically to whet the appetite of fans. In fact, that's if they arrive on time to actually see them (I have heard of situations where people don't though considering we're talking about Cody Garbrandt that might change).. It isn't debatable.
If Deiveson breaks himself, WITHOUT the pressure of an opponent, how would he ever win a fight WITH an opponent? An infant could be his opponent, and it would win, since he's breaking himself -- the opponent could be one, or even two slices of bread..it just doesn't even matter -- so what does he think is going to happen when facing an opponent with more/less infinitely more fight ability than either an infant or..HOWEVER MANY slices of bread (to be honest)?
He’s looked good in his last two fights. New team, all toxic people out of his life. Fight could go either way but I think leaving team alpha male and getting divorced was the best two things that could’ve happened to him
@@donnyrockett7490 true but thankfully he has not taken any damage in his last two fights. His approach is a lot different too. Love that he uses more kicks from a distance and he still has his speed
Rob font beat tf outta Cody Figgy beat tf outta font MMA math never makes sense so the only thing That actually does make sense is for Cody to beat tf outta figgy
Cody could have definitely won the font fight he showed it out when it was too late round 1 and 5 he was alright just couldn’t hold up to fonts jab pressure
Exactly. In my opinion the difference will be toughness, Font was able to handle Cody's storm and jab him up, Cody wasnt finished but he couldnt win off points. Fig could beat Font off points but wasnt tested enough. I just feel like Deiveson quits sometimes and thats not what you want to see when Cody has power to make people either drop or cover up
