A lot of people take shots at their old place of work whether they committed some forms of slave labor or refused pay. Let people say what they want. Cody getting pressed over a woman taking shots at a storyline shows that he's still bitter about something as well. They're still good people in my book though!
I advise against that, cause that is exactly what AEW (specifically, Tony Khan and his hardliner fans) wants. They WANT to provoke WWE into a response so when they get clapped back, they can cry victim again to paint WWE in a bad light.
Cody mentioned in the past that he didn't have a problem with aew and he respects them even when he left, yet AEW just keeps shooting shots at WWE and now Cody for no reason😂
Honestly, Cody played an important role as part of a catalyst that make AEW. On his road to finish his story, he also helped build AEW as an alternative to WWE.
Cody Rhodes done moved on to bigger and better things. AEW didn’t know how to utilize a star like Cody. He made the right decision coming back to the E. Hopefully guys like Will Hobbs, Ricky Starks, MJF, Swerve, Willow Nightingale and more will follow 💪🏾💯

I feel like AEW turned on Cody the moment he left the ‘Elite’ as a faction (and formed the Nightmare Family/Factory) while still in AEW, because they’re weird Buck/Omega cultist sycophants, and they saw Cody breaking away from them as an act of ‘treason’ or betrayal against their divine lords. People like to say it’s because Cody booked himself to dominate the midcard, or because the nationalist stuff was too heelish for a face, but the reaction was way too extreme than what that would have caused. And the way they did a compete 360 on him and vilified him after loving him before suddenly was eerie, and never really explained.

I assumed that the thing is that there's some sort of agreement between Cody and Tony Khan that the Rhodes family is offlimits for use in AEW's attacks on WWE, maybe a no disparagement type thing. Thus his "Tony should have told you" comment. Not necessarily a legal agreement, but something to just keep things cordial. And Toni Storm's comment crossed that line.
AEW has the potential to be a great promotion, they just need to focus on themselves and create the best storylines they can. They literally have some of the best wrestlers in the world working for them.
I think everyone must be forgetting 2 of the main things Cody was known for after learning WWE. He said fuck the revival the revival was in WWE and him saying that is what got him over in the first place. Then he smashed triple h's throne with a sledgehammer as you know triple h was in WWE. Cody has been known to take shots at people. I think if people were honest they could admit if Cody didn't say fuck the revival he wouldn't be where he is now.
I agree, the constant shots from AEW is just annoying at this point, but at the same time, that was pretty much entirely what Cody Rhodes was doing during his time there. Sounds like it's not so fun for him now being on the other side of it.
Cody has the ability and gift to say a lot without saying something directly. If they keep poking the bear, all Cody has to do is make a couple indirect comments towards the mismanagement of the company and that will be pretty damning given that he's been positive this entire time

Imagine if Cody Rhodes ends up surprisingly showing up to AEW Dynamite and shoots on Tony Khan, The Young Bucks and the entire company. AEW would not even exist if it was not for Cody.
Cody at some point is going to have to get a mean streak in him. That means as a character and in real life too, he’s too damn nice. He’s a great wrestler and can cut decent promos but the problem is right back to being too nice. He has to go savage and after what Punk did to AEW, if Cody said something AEW would be dead. I’d go as far as to say Cody was a big reason why AEW was successful and when he left, everything fell apart because he was holding it all together. Even Cody’s response to Toni Storm was very mild and polite. I’d have loved to hear him rip Toni apart for being green and told her to focus on improving herself instead of taking shots at others. She’s obviously a drug head like many within AEW and Cody could rip her ass to shreds. But he won’t because he’s too damn nice and he’s gotta stop that.

I watched AEW initially and liked their product. However, I don't think that I'll watch them now. AEW just screams desperation to me after releasing that CM Punk footage and their recent shenanigans. Just when you think Tony Khan can't sink any lower, he finds a way!
