As a 20-something woman Sam, Lena, and Olivia have made the show so special and safe for me. I loved it before but they’ve done so much to improve it for my demographic. I’ll miss Sam so much but this new job seems like a dream come true. So happy for her, and MAYO FOR SAM

I feel like I’m the only one that’s okay with her leaving. I really like Sam, but she seemed unhappy to be there and it sometimes gave a walking on eggshell vibe. I’m glad she’s going somewhere that may be a better fit for her.
Sitting here with a broken ankle from zip lining and hearing Ethan say that "zip lining is the worst vacation activity you could plan" felt like the fourth wall was broken lmao. It was literally the second day of my summer holiday that it happened. There was a thick mattress at the end of the line but I still managed to roll my ankle on it and the lowest part of the tibia got fractured. I finally agree that 🚫 DO NOT GO ZIP LINING 🚫

Frankly I know nothing about the equipment but I'm guessing they are quite heavily standardized in the EU. That said, it didn't feel like the mattress helped at all 😂

I think Noel didn’t know about it but idk for sure. Noel has alluded to being a victim of child abuse himself which is probably one of the reasons why it hits even harder for him. For anyone who cares (highly unlikely), "dag" is very much a New Zealand English slang word, but is not used so much these days. It definitely has a literal meaning, which is the event of poop stuck to a sheep's wool, hence Ethan's favourite phrase "rattle your dags" meaning to "get going". It is also often used (mainly by baby boomers and more historic generations) to mean someone is a bit of a joker, i.e. "that Ethan is a real dag". In Australia, dag is used more in the context of "daggy", which is a more affectionate insult to denote something that is out of fashion, e.g. "those ankle socks are so daggy". It’s not that people don’t understand it, at least speaking for myself and other people who have laughed at the clip. It’s just… the *way* she said it. And the crazy laugh after. Granted, Ethan is also a guy who said “I love to watch you leave, and I like to watch you go” so there’s also context to consider when considering his capacity to make sense of things that make sense in general.

A live streamer friend of QT and Ludwig went live & showed his browser- a tab was for AI porn of QT and a couple other women streamers. QT made a very emotional response and while watching it Ethan let the intrusive thoughts win and had Zach play chestnuts. It was insanely ignorant, insensitive, and disrespectful.

My ex husband dated his ex girlfriend starting when she was 17 and he was 33. Surprisingly all his friends, family and hers had zero issue. I was considered psycho for morally disagreeing with it as we share a young daughter I did not want this behaviour modelled in front of. Age of consent here is 16 and that was all anyone seemed to care about.

I think this is the biggest thing people don’t understand when just focusing on the age. People making comments that she was 17 which is basically an adult and legal in some state doesn’t make it ok. It was a dude, years out of college, who dated a girl that would have been still in high school had she didn’t drop out. Even though it COULD be legal, that’s still disgusting. At that point, Cody’s brain was fully developed and Tana’s wouldn’t have been for another 8 years. That’s the issue.

New Zealander here, there's a common misconception I feel that we are pretty chill politically as a country. This is far from the reality, the new government we have is slowly sending us down the path of becoming more and more like the US with there increased enforcement of policing in low income areas as well as defunding a lot of public sectors that the lower income population rely on. We are far from the social democracy that we are often portrayed as.

We have a lot of MAGA fandom types over here - famously the former leader of the National Party had a MAGA hat displayed in his political office. National Party is our major right-wing party which is currently leading in government in partnership with two alt-right parties. When the US and Canada had anti-vaxx trucker convoys we had copycats over here driving to Parliament. I think overall we have a much smaller proportion of these types than the US does, but it is spreading. One of the right wing parties in government is also funded by the Atlas Network (a conservative think tank in the US).

A few family members have too, with my uncle and his wife completely lost in the sauce to the point they told us they’d have the last laugh when we pass away from the vaccine. Multiple of my parents friends are unable to hold a normal conversation without talking about vaccines, transphobia and just general garbage. My mum started talking about schools having litter boxes for kids who identify as cats and I told her she needs to immediately stop talking to whoever told her that shit (she hasn’t) NZ is becoming nearly impossible to live unless you’re super wealthy

Lol I listened to the Fear & podcast (audio) this morning and QT said she hired Sam.
