during this entrance they were setting up romans pianos for this entrance and when Cody does his second whoa his titontron background is turned black to kinda camouflage the pianos that have been set up, something that I had just noticed and also hats of to the production team, everything was on point that night, from the entrances to the stage itself wow
And he still did it with professionalism and class, this man deserves that title, especially after all of the "My Father" Promos last year and the damn crowd pop to the song...like the story writes itself and WWE still fumbled the ball
Nah man, to be one of the marquee names in front of nearly 80000 in the main event... THIS vindicated him leaving in 2016, and every moment since. I'm sure he will get his big win soon. He deserves it for sure.
cody will finish the story cody is THE guy who will take the belts from reigns, he's that guy as much as i wanted him to win it wasn't the right time. i'm shocked cody was as over as he was after being injured when he does take the belts off reigns by summerslam or at summerslam its going to be even sweeter yeah it wont be at WM but it'll be worth it
In HHHs mind its going to be better to put the belt on cody in a less important event with a smaller crowd , and when fans already lost interest...... what a stupid decision
@@brianwestmoreland3836 then what are your Roman's do in any championship match? " Cheating". and always using usos to interference with his challengers 🤮🗑️
@@hoswi_ It's not time for him to win yet. Right now fans just care about Roman losing the title instead of Cody winning it. You have him win it now then what happens? He's an undercard world champ that nobody cares about in 5 months.
@@SAELEETRAVELS Bron Breakker from NXT. Calling it now. He is similar to Roman (both powerhouses, came from NXT, is part of a wrestling family) so Vince and Hunter will love him.
I believe with all my heart that Cody was the intended winner right up until Wrestlemania, but when the deal was reached with Endeaver to buy WWE, one of the conditions was that Roman remain the champion so that the company is represented by a big, strong guy (like the UFC Heavyweight champion) rather than by a light-heavyweight which is what Cody is.
I’m still sick that Cody lost for real. I felt the same when shinsuke didn’t beat jinder but this hit harder cause like damn what a build. This is like the build they gave lashley before he lost to Cena with the first avalanche AA. Smfh. Idk man. Imma sad mark
I understand they wanna continue the story for long term storytelling but some moments in life only happen once. sure Cody will main event many more Wrestlemanias but this was his first time main eventing, this moment was special almost sacred and no other premium live event can come close to the magic in that building that night, not summerslam, not survivor series not the royal rumble or any of them and by the next time Wrestlemania is around the corner the magic will be gone this was their one shot and they blew it.
I honestly think the pooch was screwed here. Here we are with Cody drafted to Raw and Roman (and the titles) were drafted to Smackdown, plus the Cody v. Brock storyline.
Vince is booking Brock & Hunter was the one that made the call. Thing is, Heyman had the most coherent explanation for this. He said that Cody will come out of this looking like a bigger star than he walked in. I agree that they missed a big moment here, but I ABSLOUTELY get it.
@@SAELEETRAVELS rewatching this reminded me of how into the crowd was invested in this match! I was rooting for Cody, my brother is on his own island of relevancy;) I recall, after WM was over, we were all walking in the crowd towards the escalator and someone yells, very close to me, "CODY FUCKIN SUCKS", and I quickly turned around and said, "Hey, you don't say that!"...I turned around and heard a meek little..."I'm sorry..."
@@alexbeardsley751 ohh yeah everyone was standing up the just about the whole match. it was split between rooting for Cody or Roman. I can't wait to see them fight again next year in Philly
@@Loreurka Yea I think that's why he moved down ramp to do his taunt. The guy almost ruined a perfect shot too because the Do it For Dusty sign was on the other side which would have looked fantastic in the frame. SMH
The fact that wwe wont make him go over roman despite being over with fans as shown here shows how out of touch vince is like i get he loves roman so much but you shouldve put cody over that ending to the match made no sense and now brocks gonna bury him after what happened on raw the next night smh vince just needs to retire vince is the same guy who buried nexus screwed booker t vs hhh by not having booker win the title and made wwe go pg smh hhh needs to takeover already cuz vince is outta touch
There are still a few people who for whatever reason don't like him. One annoying thing for me at my office is that all of the women who watch wrestling are Roman Reigns fans. You can guess why - it has nothing to do with the story they just want Reigns to win because they think eh's hot and want to sleep with him. I'm a woman myself but I don't understand that mindset. They completely ignore story, in-ring skill, its all they care about. They were happy on Monday and didn't seem to even realize he was the bad guy from a story perspective.
