The coefficient of variation is a statistical measure that assesses the relative variability of a dataset or a probability distribution. It is defined as the ratio of the standard deviation to the mean
CV = σ / μ
The coefficient of variation is a dimensionless value that provides a normalized measure of variability, allowing for comparisons between different datasets or distributions with different units or scales.
