Coeus - Odyssey
A long term friend of the family and defining voice for melodic electronic music returns to Radikon for catalogue no. 80. The legend Coeus is back in the house!
Right from the start a heavy hitting kick plus off bass pattern lays the foundation for the uncompromised territory that lies ahead. 'Paramount' offers a wild ride through various chainsaw like lead cuts smashed over hypnotic robotic voice fragments. At the top of the ascent awaits a pittoresque view over breathtaking hook arcs that stretch out wide behind the dance-floor’s horizon.
The 'Odyssey' continues and takes the listener to a far deeper altitude. Different layers of melodies overlap each other on the surface above like waves in a stormy sea, while the bass-drum punches mercilessly from the endless depths below. The simplistic percussion
leaves room for the several rhythms of each tonal element to form a rousing narrative on its own.
