When my nephew was in Germany studying, I would go to my sister's house and everyone would be sitting around and he would be on Zoom, just reading a book or watching TV in Germany. They just all wanted to hang out without any pretext or need to interact. I thought it was a cool way for him to deal with being homesick!
You two don't even realize what unicorns you are. Truly equal partners, empathetic to each other also. That's so rare. You both cook, both care for the kids, both clean, all of it. If I had ever found that, I would have stayed married. lol Both times I ended up the maid/accountant/cook/researcher/contractor/planner everything all while working full time AND bringing home more money (they made good $, I just made more $). I realized life would be so much simpler alone not cleaning up after someone else all the time, cuz I'm busy and a neatnick so it's easier to just take care of me as then I spend so little time doing the domestic things because I clean as I go and don't make a mess for later or leave beard hair in the sink. lol I asked all the right questions, tested all the waters to prevent that, but still, as so many women do, I ended up doing everything, including the remodeling of the houses. I gave up and don't even date now so that I'll never be tempted to get married again. There are not enough Tylers out there. You two are a true team and that is just so rare even in this modern age.

I am also going on a two week trip to Egypt! I get to go with my university and get college credit and study and make so many memories with some of my best friends. This is so cool that we are randomly sharing this experience!!!! I can't wait to see our trips come together and see how they differ and are similar!

My husband and I have been living apart for the last 18 months (US Navy life) and we are just like you guys even being so far apart. We have 2 kids and I live with my parents for the time being and they help me as much as possible but it’s different to have your husband and then have your parents. I literally cried when she said if only we could freeze this stage. So my husband and I have 5 kids in total 2 each of previous marriages and one together they are 14, 13, 10, 10 and 1 years old. And I have been so so emotional about how the older ones are getting older and now that we have our lil one I get so happy yet so sad that this is the last time we will have a baby. And I have been crying a lot because I’m like pretty soon our kids aren’t going to want to hang out and I don’t know if I’m doing the most now that they are still little. ❤my heart is so full of happiness with my family. I see that we are doing great with them but I don’t want them to grow up but I’m happy to see them grow. It’s an emotional roller coaster. ❤
Time going by as a parent and realizing milestones make you so proud while breaking your heart. I just took my high school senior and junior on college visits. I’m so proud of these kids I’ve raised. I’m also so sad they are flying the nest.

The talk about the “what happened to you” is fascinating to me. I always think that when someone is super bubbly and friendly to everyone every time you see them. it's amazing how people forget that there is a whole life behind the camera that they aren't privy to. It reminds me of people who treat actors like they are literally the characters they play. This one guy who played a serial killer in a soap opera got harassed on the streets by random people trying to make citizens' arrests 🤦♀ Also, it's normal to present a polished persona on video (it's just professional etiquette). Sometimes I go back and watch your and Tyler's proposal video (I probably sound like a creepy weirdo 😂), but it's just a perfect & heartwarming example of how unusual it is to see such a raw, intimate, 'mask off' moment like that.
