What an educational video. No rambling about personal life, no distracting music. This is you teach. New follower. Love your technique and teaching method.
This is absolutely the most perfect tutorial. I so appreciate that too. I am so tired of the tutorials with music, long intros, fillers, just too much. This one is perfectly made.
Great job! You've inspired me to try this project. Additional options for tinting coffee filters. 1) After making a pot of coffee, remove the used filter w/grounds, discard the grounds (great for your garden!) and then rinse the filter off, squeeze out the water and set aside to dry naturally. The tinting from the coffee stain makes an 'antique rose' look ... or can be further tinted. This way you recycle the used filters. 2) You can tint the filters using foods -- soak in a solution of hot water and turmeric for a yellow color, or beet juice for red, spinach for green, carrots for pale orange. Many other foods and plants can be used to make dyes ... while making dinner! Thanks again for the detailed and well demonstrated DIY project!
I've done coffee stained literally everything, lol, paper, material, etc... Love it! I have tried making coffee filter flowers before & they NEVER come out as good as the tutorial... But I want to give this one a try.... It's been a while since my last try, but I wasted so much time lol, that I haven't tried to make them in a couple yrs. These actually look better than the last tutorial I tried so fingers crossed 🤞 because omg I bought some "decent" florals at Walmart yesterday & they were expensive!!!! 😱
I am home, just finished radiation and chemo treatments for brain cancer. Been 25 years plus battle of surgeries, years of chemotherapy, two different radio surgeries treatments… but so blessed to still be here! Now stuck in the house because of COVID! Long story short, ran across your video and have been making notes! Have everything I need here at home! Thank you so much for sharing and teaching this teacher in a way I can understand!
Shelly. My heart and admiration goes out to you for your courage during such a difficult time. I love your enthusiasm in making these flowers. You will be amazed at your own creations and how beautiful the flowers turn out. I hope this craft brings you some joy and let me know if the flowers meet your expectations. Sending you good wishes and lots of positive vibes. Oh yes, thank you so much for watching and sharing. ❤️ happy flower making 🌸
Oh wow! I have about 100 filter papers that I ordered by mistake and I nearly threw them out the other day as I’ve had them for 3 years! I’m definitely doing this thank you so much for your detailed tutorial 😘🇬🇧
It’s fate ha ha. You can make a lot of flowers with 100 filters. They turn out better than you would expect, so pretty! Happy flower making! Thanks for watching.
I LOVE hydrangeas, so I bought some at an outrageous price from an art supply store. I'm a jewelry designer, so I had no idea you could make these flowers for a mere fraction of what I paid, while having a lot more fun! I put my blue and cream flowers in a big round rustic ceramic pot and they're gorgeous! But I was recently looking at the arrangement, thinking they could use more flowers! Now I have a fun project to look forward to. Thank you for easy instructions, and for your video!
@@suzyrebelo I’m sure!!! I did make sure I had all of the supplies on hand, that way when everyone leaves for work on Monday.. I will have my 4yo helping me dye coffee filters:)!! I really hope my turn out at least half as good as yours! They are gorgeous!!
This is the best therapy project for relieving stress, anxiety and tention! Thank You so much for your video teaching me how to make these beautiful flowers and leaves. I will be making them as gifts for family and friends. I also watched a video on how to make your own vases, and pots for flowers. This gift will be from the heart ❤️. Thank You again, Debbie
This is an awesome video. It’s well explained and easy to understand and follow. Your flowers are beautiful!! I will definitely give it a try. Thank you.
Thanks so much. These are really fun to make and the results are so nice. Once you start it’s hard to stop. Happy flower making and thanks for sharing. 🌸
@@suzyrebelo Thank you; you made this look easy and I am going to try, but I bet it will take some practice to get the results you did. I honestly think the hydrangeas look so real no one could tell the difference!
I’ve been wanting to learn how to make these for a long time, so grateful to you for doing this video. You’re such a good teacher. Again, so grateful-thank you so much!
You give the BEST instructions - I'm not good with things like this, but after watching this video, I feel like I could actually do this. Thanks for a great video!
Mavis, that’s the best compliment. I try to share information the way I would like someone to teach me. I like to hear it, see it, repeat it etc.., I’m so glad you’re inspired to try them. Happy flower making!
I'm excited to do these. When I was young, we visited a" flower factory" in Mexico City, where the women made THOUSAND'S OF artificial paper flowers of every variety imaginable. From tiny,to huge!! I never forgot how wonderful they were!!
Lovely! Really good instructions. I have cats, not mine but I'm stuck with them and they eat or knock over any real flowers I have. I'm going to try these. That'll fool them. Thanks for the great video.
My grandmother use to make flowers out of crepe paper....she would dip the tips of petals in melted wax sometimes to make k e them last longer....she would twist the strips of green crepe paper down the stem and add the leaves in as she twisted on the wire...this brings back such memories
Hi Suzy, I discovered your video’s while looking for crepe paper flowers. And I can’t stop looking at them. You make the most gorgeous and realistic flowers out of coffee filters and I’m just amazed with each and every video. I am going to attempt to make some for my home. Thank you so much for sharing your great talent.
I’m so glad you like the videos. All the flowers are easy to make. Some require a bit more patience than others but the results are worth it. I’m certain you will make gorgeous bouquets to adorn your home. Fair warning, these can be addictive! Hope you have fun making these and thanks for watching. I appreciate it. 🌸
So, as I'm watching this, I'm thinking, .... Dang this woman is good! And like a few others have taken note, there was no babbling on about a stupid side story that has nothing to do with what you're demonstrating. Your communication style is spot on. Thank you ever so much for creating this marvelous tutorial. Beautiful artwork!
Hi Suzy, I'm enjoying your "Coffee Filter Flowers" I have fallen in love with then. I love them because, they remain me of my mom's fresh peonies. Great memories!
I’m glad you’re enjoying this. It’s funny you mention peonies and how they bring back fond memories because I’m working on new peony pattern right now. I’ll post a tutorial once I’m done. I think you’ll notice a big difference between the flowers. Others thought the roses resembled peonies too. Thanks for sharing and watching.
Absolutely gorgeous . . . my mind is whirring with ideas. Everyone is getting crochet gifts for Christmas this year but all the girls are getting these for their birthdays next year!!! OMG good job thank you for sharing!
Annie that’s a wonderful idea. I’m sure your girls will love it. I also have a video on making carnations which are very easy and would add to any bouquet. Happy flower making. 🌸
I absolutely love these! I think I would add a drop or two of some essential oils in the center of each. Oh, I must learn how to do the peony! It's my favorite! I'll have to watch more videos, I see. :)
Remembering Paper Roses - Marie Osmond eat your heart out! As a florist, we were taught to stretch and break the "gutta-percha" (floral tape) 1st off your length and place the torn end and twist tight, stretching with your left hand and twisting tight with the right hand. Like spinning wool for the motion, practice makes perfect. I am loving the blue hydrangea for the top of a friend's birthday gift box and then I will make the card to match with the left overs!! Beautiful Suzy, your style is very relaxing and so much cheaper! A few drops of Rose essential oil if you really want to smell the roses! Blessings Helen
Helen, I’m loving your tips on the tape. I can see how tearing the tape will help it adhere better. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. Your friend is going to love her gifts. I remember Marie and paper roses ha ha seems so long ago. Happy flower making and thanks for watching.
My first video with you and I subscribed within minutes. You have such an eye for detail! If I hadn’t read first I would have thought the vase held real flowers and now I’m so excited to make them, too! Bless you!
Great video! You have a good clear speaking voice and are well spoken. Your directions are easy to follow. The demonstration of making of flowers is well filmed. You held my attention throughout the video. And the flowers are beautiful!
Thank you Suzy for the wonderful tutorial. I have seen many and you made it so easy, I love your detailed instructions. I really hope you make more videos like this, I'm a fan for life.
very beautiful and creative too. I love it. So sweetly you explode. I am 70 but definitely i will try to make it and i will show my grand daughter too. Thank you very much for sharing.🙏
That’s a wonderful way to spend time with them. I think you’ll all enjoy this craft and will be amazed by your creations. Happy flower making and thanks for watching.
@@rytekilikeviciene9652 I used 7 3/4" (fits 8-12 cup basket) mfg. is GK connaisseur. but I think that size should be standard for basket coffee filters. hope this helps.
These are simply gorgeous and look so real! I'm going to try and make some. I hope mine turn out so well. Thank you for sharing! You're a great teacher!🏵🥀🌱🌷🌸🌹🍃🌼
New subscriber loving every moment of your teaching! I had to move to a condo with no space for a garden and miss my peony’s so very much... POOF!! A few changes and I have a gorgeous substitute that never wilts!! Thank you so much!! 🥰💐🥰
Thank you for subscribing. I’m so glad you liked this. Not only is this a fun craft , it really brightens up a room! My place doesn’t have a lot of light so these are perfect for me. Happy flower making. 🌸
