Coffee Pound Cake｜Apron 

I followed the recipe, but failed miserably. The cake was dry. The only liquid is the two tablespoons of warm milk. What could be the cause of the dryness. Can you help?

@@helenmak4569............... i THINK i can help .... so here is another recipe CUT IN HALF 1 1/2 cups sugar 1/2 cup real butter at room temperature (no substitution), salted or unsalted, recommended 3 large eggs at room temperature 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour sifted (recommended brand) white lily all purpose do not forget to MEASURE / SIFT / MEASURE then sweep 1/2 cup whipping cream NOT WHIPPED (also known as heavy cream) ^^^^^^^see what I WUD do is add the coffee granules TO the room temp milk that goes with the recipe^^^^^^^^ 1/2 tablespoon pure vanilla extract I use this if you have made pound cake before ...you know the part where you ALTERNATE between milk and flour ??? well after you STIR IN the granules you make it coffee milk (if you will) and then alternately ADD THE Coffee milk with flour into the mix ETC ETC .................. HTH

MISTAKE they made WAS ...making the ENTIRE cake THENNN added milk afterwards which is a pound cake NO NO !! you have to alternate flour/milk ENDING with FLOUR !!

Hi, Yes, it will work. And cake flour is more delicate than all purpose flour, can try to make, for every 1 cup of all purpose flour remove 2 Tbsp of flour, and replace 2 Tbsp of that with cornstarch. Happy Baking

He added the eggs gradually/slowly, in like divided portions. But used just the same amount of eggs.
