the fact that bumumo refers to themselves only as 'we' while they're around amanda and silver, while they use 'I' with others unless they're talking about shop-specific stuff is such a nice detail.
Well they're in the hive mind I'm sure we can relate the both of them as whichever, but my personal headcanon of both Silver and the barista is that they're siblings like amanda and silver, which is why I got confused too by this comment 💀💀
Columbo walks in and instantly deduces that Bumumo is a time traveler but the big reveal comes at the end when he says "but it would be rude of me to recognize my own blood. That's right Bumumo, I am your other dad."
I can't believe I went through the entirety of the Coffee Talk main story and never noticed before the small detail that when Lua gets mad the little swirls on her horns start glowing red!
Ive really come to love this game and your streams of them. It can feel pretensious at times but like. It really sings, yknow? Of course, y'all's performances really make it shine too. But also.. be nice to Lua! Jello's speech about liking Lucas is how i feel about Lua - ive known people like her and I find her struggles incredibly reasonable, she has a high stress job and shes balancing a lot of expectations from every side (and even if her family didnt explicitly express it, they do have opinions that will grate during meetings. Hyde's advice is super solid and offers a nice bit of distance and perspective, but it doesnt change the consequences that would still exist) I typed up a long thing but basically, there are several plots and Lua is doing a lot of moving in her own. Saying Lua doesnt do anything is like being mad Aqua hasnt done anything in Jorji's plot
Agreed. The part about Lua's over-commitment to family also rubs me the wrong way because to me, things like valuing family and how much of a role they play in important events like your wedding vary culturally. I see Lua's struggle as one where she bears the weight of not only her family but tradition and history on her shoulders - the cultural expectations of how she should act. The entire point of Baileys and Lua's conflict is that they come from fundamentally different backgrounds, not just in terms of economic class but in terms of culture, their values surrounding family are vastly different as a result, and they need to navigate those differences. It's not as simple as "Lua's always wrong".
I thought I wouldn't care for Lucas at first, he gave me that bland influencer vibe. But man hearing that story about his past made me see him in a different light. He's actually a really well fleshed out and complex character. Like he's aware of how he can come of as over the top or conceded. I really love these games and Jello's streams. ^ω^
@@GwainSagaFanChannel it's alright I am Czech there was a joke where Hyde said he learned to paint but his paintings would be out of style and describe some colors he used and stuff to which Bailings joking asked "are you a Rembrandt?" He didn't get a straight answer
Jello could try to make the Spanish chocolate drink himself if he wants to. There's this chocolate brand called Valor, Chocolate a la Taza (literal translation: chocolate in the cup/mug => hot chocolate). They sell in powder, bar, or ready-to-eat form and have a picture of a cup with a churro next to it on the packaging. It comes with instructions on how to make it, but it's just chocolate and boiled milk (sooo... basically hot chocolate, but better). It's the closest thing that I am aware of without having to go on a transatlantic trip, though I've only bought the bar once and it's been a long time. I might go try it again myself. However, it can be hard to find depending on where you live. If you know any international food store that sells Spanish foods they may have it, or you can just buy it online (I think). I've seen it only once in a large international food store in my area. Fun fact, if you didn't already know, classic churros sold in Spain never really come with cinnamon sugar on top, that's a thing mostly seen in America (same with cream inside). It still is delicious with cinnamon though. I miss churros in general and especially churros con chocolate. It is very delicious and I miss it dearly. It has been a long time since I last visited Spain.
not sure where else i can put this... i LOVE the prison of plastic audio book. but since its release i've had a lot of problems with soundbooth theater itself just... not letting me listen to the book that i paid for. it just... doesnt open the thing! it gets real finicky if i try listening to it from a different device, and i havent been able to re-listen to it for over a month because of it.
