STMJ is Susu (Milk), Telur (Egg), Madu (Honey), Jahe (Ginger). Back in Indonesia, we drink this at night, and you can find this drink at highlander place or mountain.
This game needs a sequel or DLC with new stories or a similar setup in a different kind of shop. I wish there was just more of it. The game doesn’t overstay it’s welcome but I’d love the option to download more stories and have more puzzles and variables with the puzzles.
This game is charming with a bit of quirk. A relaxing visual novel with a bit of guessing to it. The music, art, and atmosphere and laid back story telling makes it engaging instantly.
I just saw the demo for this on my PS4 and it reminded me of the Bar Oasis series, I'm going to pick this up when I get through my backlog of games and I'm going to give Va-11 Hall-A a go too
I heard of this game and yeah its really relaxing and a chill out game.Especially the raining outside mood captures it great.Awesome review tho. Got a sub from me! :)
Just completed the game. The story is interesting, but almost bland and too linear. Characters are really likable and interesting, but their story arcs are rather formulaic and are wrapped up WAY too quickly. The coffee making mechanics is rather underused. Each character only asks for one drink per day and often only 3 characters appear a day. The latte art is fun to screw around, but completely unnecessary. Except for that one time in the beginning of the story, latte art has no reason to be used at all. Overall, the game is far too short for it to be worth $11 dollars. Buy this for $5 on a Switch sale. This game is extremely reminiscent to VA-11 Hall-A, only not as well told or interesting. Coffee Talk isn't a bad visual novel game, but it needs more. Toge Productions have something good here and I would love it if they have a more complicated story for their next game.
Thanks for the comment. I played the demo and enjoyed it a lot. But I didn't buy it because I was worried about a lack of gameplay content. I'll wait for a sale to get it.
I love the character werewolf Gala, this character is so interesting. And I love the part Gala went angry, that part is a bit scary but also very interesting, hahaha
This is such a different game from what I usually like to play. Love it! The frustrating thing was the drinks you didn’t know how to make. Wish there was new DLC on the way.
Just bought the game and in my honest opinion, I think $13 is a little much for what this game offers. It's a short game with some nice music and some nice mechanics, like how you shouldn't just make the right cup of coffee in the first try, you should expirement with all the ingredients when you have the chance to increase your knowledge on coffee combinations. I did like the character development between some of the casts but because of the length of the game, I couldn't really get attached to them or truly feel the progress they went through. Overall if this game was probably around the $4.99 to $6.99 range then I would give it a solid 8/10 but for the current price I'll have to give it a 4/10.
*SPOILER WARNING* Because of the length of the game was so small I felt that the whole time traveler thing at the end was just a ploy to get some "replay value"/more hours outta the game. If there's anything I can say I disagree with in this game, it's that. I would've gave it a chance if it DRASTICALLY changed how the storyline went but after a little research, it only changed like 3-4 small cutscenes and gave you the "true" end. After I read that, I just watched a video on someone replaying it.
Depending how fast you read I would estimate 25 minutes per day so you get at least 6 hours of gameplay and a bit more if you want to unlock some things and get happy ending on everybody That's still at least double the time than what it took me to beat my free copy of Sonic Forces yesterday (3 hours)
@@RZA36 Yes, from Limited Run Games. It was on preorder for about two weeks and I preordered it last month. It's no longer available though. You could also just buy the Japanese release as it has English subtitles from eBay. You'll pay about $45 - $50 for a physical copy. This is for the Switch version. There's one on eBay right now for $38 but it's the last copy. So, if you hurry, you might still get it.
Love the art, concept, and especially the MUSIC. Hands-down one of my all-time favorite soundtracks of all time. Very chill, and beautiful downtempo music. It really is one of the most relaxing experiences in gaming I've had, especially recently. The charming character designs are also very well done. The writing however, is the main weakest part of the experience and a missed opportunity. I was hoping that the mystical characters would invite some very creative and clever story lines, but instead the devs decided on a very, VERY on-the-nose social/political commentary of today, which is basically "Diversity Is Our Strength: The Video Game." It's really lazy because I feel like it destroys the whole idea of using the mystical characters in the first place. And the commentary isn't even unique. It's just "racism is bad," and "homophobia is bad." In fact, Freya's book sounds like it would be VERY boring and flop if it came out if she was basing her book off of the stories she hears at this coffee shop. I'll give the writing little bit of credit for at least NOT being annoying, but that's probably also due to the game's length also being very brief. But I still love this game. Can't wait for the sequel :) Also RIP to the co-creator of the game. Just saw that bit of news.
Javid Rampersad gonna be honest with you chief, I just bought it and was a little disappointed by how short it was. I think waiting for a sale would be best, 13$ is a little much
I'm looking up stuff about this game because it is doing really badd in the xbox store because 8 what asks for your email your personal information your state and all that where you live and If you don't it turns your achievements off and you're not allowed to save no joke go look it up on the xbox you can't do it unless you give them all of your info
Yeah now only does this require you to hit yes and your permissions it once access to your xbox itself and all of your friends on your friends list All of your activities your stats and rankings for every game any content you've shared Anything that's not private list in your Internet browser history on your console And then all the sociated information with your Microsoft account
Definitely not as enjoyable as VA-11Hall-A, the script is pretty bland and wrapped up in the characters' personal lives without really revealing much about the city/world you're living in. Nothing that feels 'real' and funny like danger/u/, no apartment to go home to and upgrade...overall a pretty empty feeling game for the price.
By looking at the comments and seeing how the game features mixed race couples, gay/lesbian couples and social issues into its story, I'm glad I got it for free and just skip through the whole story only to get all the achievements. Missed me with that j*wish shit game
The games npc’s remind me of doujin/rule 34 characters 🤨🥴 Game looks cute and so do the characters (not for the reasons you’d think! 🤐😵💫) lmaooo. Might download it from game pass depending how I feel after this review
