One of the devil’s favorite lies is to tell us “If something were going to happen, it would have happened already by now.” Maybe we’ve been believing for something for a long time and we get discouraged by how long it’s taken.
Many of you know that my first husband died when I was 37 years old and then it took 17 years before I remarried. I thought it would have been married long before that and so often during that time the devil told me “Nobody wants you.” or “If it were going to happen it would have already.”
I’m here to tell you that the devil is a liar. It’s never too late with God. Romans 11:29 says that the gifts and callings of God are without repentance, or in other words they never change. God has a good plan for your life and He’s going to bring it to pass in his perfect timing, which is never the same as our perfect timing.
Moses thought he had blown God’s plan when he killed an Egyptian that was beating a Hebrew. He thought he had blown it, but one day, 40 years later God spoke to him that it was time to go to Egypt and redeem God’s people.
God didn’t forget about Moses or forget about him for even a moment, and God hasn’t forgotten about you for even a moment. It wasn’t too late for Moses, and it’s not too late for you. You haven’t blown it too many times, you haven’t waited too long. Get back up and keep believing God because it’s not too late.
