Thank you so much for making this video, it's been an unbelievable help for my friends and I as we plan our vacation! I remember seeing on the resort website that you have to pay for wifi. Do you happen to remember the rate and coverage of the paid wifi?
I'm so glad my video has been a great help during your planning. That makes me so happy! I hope you and your friends have a wonderful vacation. 💛 They offer free wifi for 1hr in your room. There's also free wifi where the cabanas are in front of the beach but connection was kind of slow. I can't remember how much was the wifi cost. Their website has a chat box where you can ask any questions and a customer service rep gets back to you right away. Try that. 🙂
Wi-Fi was $45 for the week as we just left there after 7 days. It’s better to use your own carrier, which I did through Verizon for $10/day. A beautiful place
Thank you so much for watching and for the support! 🥰🙏🏻 I did a little tour of the room I stayed in. I should've shown more of the food (sorry about that) because that's what I love seeing on travel vlogs, the food! I love vlogging but I'm still a newbie so hopefully I'll get better at it. More reasons to travel! 😁
I have read so many conflicting reviews about the Groupon deal that I purchased. We are heading there in March. Your video was very helpful to explain the options. A few questions. I seen a lot of complaints about rooms. I also saw that you were upgraded. Were you able to see any other rooms that people were complaining about with dampness and air-conditioning not working power outages etc.? also I understand that I probably with four nights i will only be able to get one dinner reservation correct? I’ll try to do that in advance as you said. Did you use a hotel transfer to the resort from the airport or should I book that separately and do you have a recommendation? Thank you in advance for your help. This is super super helpful.
Hi Lori! I, too, read mixed reviews before booking my trip, but I thought: well, if there's any issue with the room, I'll just go to reception and ask for another available one. We didn't see any other rooms because ours had no problems. The only minor issue was that we couldn't get the hot water going for the 1st day, but by the 2nd night, we figured out a little handle trick. As far as reservations, yes, you'll probably only get one unless there are any cancelations. Try calling or chatting with them online to see if you can reserve a restaurant in advance/before your arrival. I did not book a transfer with the hotel directly. Honestly, I Googled transportation/shuttle from the POP to Cofresi and found a company (I can't remember the name rn, but if I do, I'll message you back). It was affordable, and the driver was super nice and on time. Van had AC and wifi, and he didn't pick up or drop off anyone else on the way, so we went straight from airport to hotel. Thank you so much for watching my video! I'm happy I could help in any way. 😊 Hope you have a wonderful trip, and if you have any more questions, lmk!
Hola Gustavo! I booked the junior suite which was the cheapest option but they upgraded us to a bigger room with a pool view (the original one had a garden view). I can't remember the name of that specific room. 😕 The bracelets are given to you at check in.
Hello Denise first of all I want to say thank you very much for posting this video It really helpful for me because we have booked 4 days in this hotel in July. Cofresí in puerto plata. So I have 2 question for you. Our room is not the lexury one it is the economy one so my question is do we Air conditioning in the room? And would like to know if is all included how they said?? Like the buffet and non alcoholic drinks? So we paid $440 for 4 days 2 adults and one kid all included. Do you think is a fair price ? July 22 to 26 2024
Hola Jay! Thank you so much for watching and subscribing. 🙏🏻 Yes, all rooms should have air conditioning. If you booked the all-inclusive package, which seems like you did, all buffets, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included. I paid $80/night, but it seems like they're not offering that deal anymore, so if you are paying $110/night, I think that's the next best deal. 🙂 Especially if it's including your kid.
Great vid! Heading here in a few weeks. Is that Zen Sushi restaurant included in with the VIP? And, if so, are there only certain times/days it is open? TIA!
Thank you for watching! Yes, Zen sushi is included with the all inclusive VIP. I remember opening at 11a and closing when the cabanas closed around 5p. Just a heads up, it's pretty much basic sushi. Hope you have a wonderful vacation!
Thank you for you videos! I love that you answer so many questions in the comments. If I stay in the tropical side will I still have access to the "vip" beaches and restuarants? Did you do any excusions? If so is it cheaper to book online or through the resort?
Thank YOU for watching! It's been my pleasure replying to comments. 😊 Unfortunately, we didn't do any excursions. We wanted to do the cable car but didn't get to it. 🫤 Yes, Tropical and Cofresi share all vip beaches and restaurants. The Groupon offer was cheaper than going through their website. I know some businesses will match the Groupon price if you book directly with them, though.
@@denisespieces4744 Haha, I meant booking excursions throught the resort or online. Also is there an app you can show us for booking the restuarants we want to book early and dine at a restaurant everynight. Again thank you so much!!
@daniellige5311 ooooh, I see what you mean! 🤦🏻♀️😅 You will probably find better deals online for the excursions. Restaurant reservations, you'll have to book with guests' services, so send them a chat on the website or give them a call and say you'd like to book a table before check in.
Excellent video! Very informative. It's been ten years since I last visited this resort. I'm going back in about 2 weeks. Your video was a nice refresher. Thank you for sharing. 😀
i am looking into resorts but i get so confused, some people say food is included and some don't, i have watched so may video's, is there entertainment every night (performances) or is that only in the weekend. Do they have a night club or some where to party if one wishes
Hi there! Yes, food is included. They have an "activity" every night, like a dance class, silent disco night, a show in the theater... But honestly, nothing that I thought was too entertaining. Although the silent disco was fun, the occupancy was low, so it was pretty dead at night when we were there. I think I showed the board with all the nightly shows on my video.
@mybeautifulmonster03 Not in Puerto Plata, no. I went (and worked) at the Club Med in Punta Cana, but I understand they're a bit pricey. I also found a great Groupon deal for an all-inclusive in Cabo, Mexico.
@@denisespieces4744 ok perfect thank you. And last question do you remember what time i can check in ? Because my flight gets there at 730 am. Do i have to wait till afternoon?
@Canserbero_es-epico It depends on availability. If it's low occupancy and the room is ready, I'm sure they'll let you check in early. If your room is still being clean, they can at least store your luggage. I would write them in advance so you can put in a request for an early check-in.
Gosh the pice is very low 15 days for 1600. Canadienne its good to be true. So is it quiete at night and how was the food a go to resort fot the food and last question do they have a spa and yoga session ❤ thank you so much
I know! I thought there was a catch too but it really was a great deal. We didn't have issues with noise. Luckily, the days we stayed, there weren't a lot of party people (specially on Cofresi side). There is a spa (extra charge for services though). The food... I'll be honest: not a lot of options at the buffets and some dishes were lukewarm. 😕 Breakfast was good though. I'm sure at the sit down restaurants, the food is "fresher". We only got to go to the Brazilian steakhouse.
@denisespieces4744 you're welcome, maybe you have a resort all inclusive with amazing food , good show Spa and yoga Ho lol good wifi. I don't mine to pay a little bit more and eat good.❤
@@lavoniamartin5885 They offer scuba diving but for an extra charge (not included with the all inclusive package). We saw a family going on a banana boat and kayaks but those were offered by the locals.
Hi! All drinks, including alcohol, are included. All buffets and most restaurants. The sit-down restaurants require advanced reservations, though. There are a couple of bars and snack bars where the VIP cabanas are, that are not included. You need to be a member for those.
Thanks for watching! No cockroaches. Thank goodness. I only saw guests with the same bracelet we had and others with a gold one, that means you're a member and can go inside specific parts of the resort. Not much of a difference though.
Hey. Good video.. I have the chance to book Cofresi a few ways.. . Their all inclusive prices seem low. Are there other fees that I will be hit with? Just curious
Hi! Thanks for watching! We didn't pay any extra fees (like you usually do in Las Vegas with their "resort fees"). Just the nightly room rate and that was it.
Was just thinking about booking this deal on Groupon. Thanks for making this video. Couple questions, if you don’t mind: We’re they pushy about doing the timeshare tour? It seems like the reservation restaurants are hard to make, and only get 1 night. Is the buffet food pretty good? Do they keep fridge stocked with presidente? Can you drink as much beer in cans as you want or is it draft? Is the town close, and easy to come and go? How was the beach? Thanks again for making this video!
@theroaman8759 Thank YOU for watching! 🤗 1. They didn't offer us a timeshare tour, actually! We did one at a resort in Mexico and never again! 🙊😅 2. Yes, make sure you make restaurant reservations in advance because they book up pretty quickly, but you can go to guests' services every day to check for cancelations or try and walk in the same night and the hostess might have an opening. 3. The buffet food was so so... Not a lot of variety, I thought, but it was ok. I used to work at Club Med, so maybe I got spoiled by their buffet food, which was SO good. 🤤 4. The fridge in our room was stocked with soda bottles like Pepsi and Presidente cans. I think there were 4 beer cans. There was also peanuts and coffee. We didn't have to ask for it to be restocked. The presidente the bar served was draft, and yes, you can drink as much as you'd like.🍻 5. Honestly, we didn't leave the resort, so I'm not sure about the town. From the airport, you'll drive by some poor/rural areas, and then we passed by the boardwalk that looked nice. 6. The beach was nice. Warm and swimable with no waves. On our last day, though, there was a lot of seaweed on the Cofresi side, but that was probably because it had rained the day before. Hope all of this helps and that you have a wonderful time in Puerto Plata! 🇵🇷
Yes, we got a free upgrade because we said it was a birthday trip. So either call them in advance or mention at check in that your trip is for a special occasion and they might upgrade you depending on availability.
I was so surprised too! My theory is that, with such cheap rate, they gotta make money somewhere. 🤷🏻♀️ And they know everyone needs wifi. Nor sure if I mentioned in the video but they do offer 1 hr free per day.
Wifi not being included is absolutely insane. That would instantly make my rating of the resort go down. Even though some people may think that's minimal, others like to vlog, fly their drone, and various other things while on the resort. You're still paying a good amount for it NOT to be included, smh.
Right? My jaw was on the floor. 😲 I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel where wifi wasn't included. Maybe waaaaay back in the day, but it's 2024, people! And even on the "spots" where they said you could connect, the wifi was so spotty and slow that I gave up. I hope I'm not coming off as high maintenance, but yes, even on vacation, I still like to WhatsApp my family, go on Insta or put on some music on YT while I get ready. 🙃 Luckily, I brought a book on that trip. 😁
Yes. There are a couple of restaurants that are only for club/gold members, but the rest and both buffets are included. I went to reception with the property map and just asked them to X what's not included. That's made it easier to navigate.
@@denisespieces4744 thank you. This resort is part of vacation club but wasn’t sure how all inclusive or how nice it was. Seems pretty nice on your video
