Drummer is rock solid! He wasn't trying to show off and trying to out do the other musicians. He complimented the band well! Had a smile on his face the whole time, just having fun! I love it!
Jamaal Perry thank you for the positive feedback... He was rocking👀🙌 Not cocky nor showing off.. I just wish drummers get what they want from God in the service instead of just watching and waiting for there turn...
Not only was that straight up clean pocket with a mighty burnin' fire, but he killed it while smiling the entire time and wearing a suit and tie...well done young man!!!!
As a former musician in the church, I have experienced the prima donna spirit. I actually had an organist to ask me to stop playing because they wanted the spotlight. It infuriated the pastor to the point of him rebuking the organist during his sermon. This is nothing unusual. The church needs the power of the Holy Ghost to take over so that these worldly narcissistic spirts will depart.
What's wrong with playing with energy and passion. Some people come from churches with over righteous bishops who forced the church to be too strict with no real genuine energy during service. 2 Chronicles 5:13 [13]It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; Ecclesiasticus 43:30 [30]When ye glorify the Lord, exalt him as much as ye can; for even yet will he far exceed: and when ye exalt him, put forth all your strength, and be not weary; for ye can never go far enough.
For those of you wondering what's up with the standing. This is an old human tradition of de facto apprenticeship. They are learning from each other. They've been doing this sense they were 3 years old. Some of them there are world class drummers now because of this
This is the smile you have when you’ve been shedding all year for that one opportunity at convocation and you get it and you smash it, you so happy you catch the Holy Ghost cause God answered your prayers....😂😂😂😂
I don't watch too many musician videos...mostly singing ones, but this right heeeaaahhh, blessed my soul! Y'all musicians keep doing what ya doing for the Lord! Drummer man, keep that smile and skills going, cause you can tell that you love playing for the Lord! God bless you!
These musicians are GREAT! This DRUMMER THOUGH! Lawd! Play boy!!!! SN: the dude in the red sweat suit has me dying laughing lmbo- his facial expressions...when he grabbed the tambourine...just everything lol! #I'mCOGIC&IApproveALLOFTHIS!
What a time. Wish I could have been there. When musicians really want to play for the church...playing for God...you certainly can tell the difference. Spiritual enthusiasm!!!
Killing them drum rolls all with a smile on his face!! Awesome!!! Drummer is giving me the inspiration to pick up my sticks again with my son. Thoroughly enjoyed this
Dat DRummEr!!! Straight Anointeddddd!!! Holy Ghost filled Music!!! That takes me home to my Sanctified home church!!! Bless these Anointed musicians father....cover them with your blood God!
The Drummer is clean The organist should always lead And the of the band should follow. This how praise and worship between the musicians should be done. UNITY AND ONE ACCORD WITH HUMILITY
Very very professional dress nice shirt and tie smiling God is going to take him a long ways you have a bunch of vultures behind you ready to jump on this set you are different and it shows from your dress attire stay on fire for the Lord my brother!
Love that drumming...drums rolls at 8:23 and 11:28 are killin. My church peeps would be going crazy with this praise song. Stay blessed young brother and keep smiling. Your smile is infectious.
Nehemiah Talton When one drummer is playing , the other drummers around need to respect that and not do any extra stuff on the side. That is proper church etiquette and really just being respectful.
It make it seem like they are in competition with each other or something. When I was playing at my old church. It was 2 drummers everyone else sitting down lol
This looks like a church revival where multiple churches come together. A lot of the time they bring their own choir and musicians. About 3 or 4 of those people are actual drummers, I think you can tell. The rest of them are most likely organist and keyboard players. Some people look a this as a bad thing, but its actually a very good thing. Its allows the musicians to learn from each other and gain more skills. It refines and makes them better musicians. You would be surprise how many professional drummers started their career this same way. People say there is a time and place for this and I always say what would you rather them be doing, out there in the streets selling drugs or in the church playing instruments for the lord.
.Stray Dog yeah but the musicians don’t even look happy they could at least clap their hands👏🏽or they should invited least churches so their wouldn’t be a line
Lack of leadership you mean... And what's worse.. These kids are so privileged, if they get called out they will do a LeBron and take their "talents" to another church that's so desperate for entertainment they'll choose talent over testimony....
Facts 💯most of them are standing bag critiquing you or stealing what you're doing or sometimes just enjoying what you doing it's hard to tell with musicians LOL
Excellent musician professional and did licks when he needed to you young drummers need to learn from him also can he please play by himself everybody always wants to have a takeover spirit and play go and sit down somewhere and enjoy!
well let me see here.....playing the drums myself for 2 decades plus sharing the stick with with the great chris coleman plus others i can name drop but i'm not.... one thing i am not is crazy , insane maybe but none the less when you have the glow it DO NOT matter who is better the shine is yours.....smh
pep 7200 Playing nothing but licks is the only thing you would call “cooking harder” there’s nothing harder than being in the groove, and doing that mess on snare was a desperate move to play from both of them. There was absolutely no need but to each his own
@pep 7200 yeah that's a far fetched statement there's a lot of dope cats sitting in this video alone.. can't forget Benny Rich.. I'm just not a fan of competition in music
@pep 7200 you are part of the problem of what everybody talking about far as musicians you just all for show thats it this young man played from a pure place in his heart an untainted place unlike you and other and get off lacys nevermind grow up brother
I can barely hear the organ but them young people should be clapping their hands doing something not jus standing there. I couldn't do that when I was growing up in Cogic
