COGITO is a free First Person Immersive Sim template for Godot Engine 4.
In this video I walk you through how to make a interactive sliding door with it, using the included scripts and components.
I also give some general info on how COGITO works.
COGITO is free, but still in beta/active development.
I'm also currently looking for work, so let me know if you'd want me to make cool stuff for you!

Can you please make a video on how i can add more wieldables, i tried to add more but there is always problem with animations and other errors, a short video on it would be nice.

Have you considered setting up a discord for cogito?

No not really, as Discord is a closed platform and has its own barriers. The GitHub is a good place so far for support and discussions.

Very nice, I've been trying to get multiplayer peer to peer working with cogito. But I haven't gotten it working yet. If I removed the player from the scene and added it back again it gives me a whole lot of errors. Even though I assign the hud etc

I haven't looked into multiplayer stuff at all, so not sure I can help with that if that's the cause. But feel free to post an issue on the GitHub with possible repro steps.

@@philipdrobar Will do, I haven't double checked just yet, but I think all I did was remove the player from the demoscene, and then I tried re-adding the player.tscn through the script. So could be reproduced by just re-adding the player.tscn in to the demoscene again, and then it will display a lot of missing components etc

Oh, could it be that the nodes are in the wrong order? Currently the node order in the scene matters. They don't have to be first, but these three should be in this order: 1. Player 2. Player_HUD 3. TabMenu

@@philipdrobar No it actually happened even with that order, I even tried duplicating the scene and have a copy where I did the swap to be able to jump back and forth and look for the discrepency and couldn't figure it out. The error is thrown in the Player_Hud_Manager script first about health component. If I force continue (F12) it loads in, and the player works but the hud isn't displayed properly and pickups doesnt work :)

@@philipdrobar oooh Invalid get index 'health_component' (on base: 'Nil'). So it's because the player is no longer assigned in the player hud node! I need to do that as well in the code then I assume
