Cock and ball torture (CBT)[a] is a BDSM or sexual activity involving the application of pain or constriction to the penis or testicles. This may involve directly painful activities, such as genital piercing, wax play, genital spanking, squeezing, ball-busting, genital flogging, urethral play, tickle torture, erotic electrostimulation, kneeing or kicking.[1] The recipient of such activities may receive direct physical pleasure via masochism, or emotional pleasure through erotic humiliation, or knowledge that the play is pleasing to a sadistic dominant. Many of these practices carry significant health risks.[2]
Was looking for an easy explanation as to what is CBT actually, here I got to know so better way. Thanks Sprouts. You make amazing videos on Psychology.
For me, CBT is reconditioning. It can be used in an extremely harmful way when put in the hands of the malevolent players, as we’ve seen these last 20 months. We have been conditioned to believe that all people are sick and infectious and therefore we should be very afraid. Thanks CBT!
1. Drop false ideas 2. By critical thinking 3. Inrtrospection( journal when u feel stupid) physical reaction of thoughts Journaling thoughts and its consequential reactions on body and replacing the negative (self harming ) beliefs with self uplifting ones 2. Self talk :(positive self talk) 3.self exposure exercise : volunteeingly exposong yourself to danger situations to prepare yourself S: Specific goal M: Measurable goal A:achievable goal R: realistic T: time based Give u control Change is very hard ! Self love and care and compassion i must do . I must remind myself who i am each moment so i dont detach myself from reality .
"Would you like to tell me why you are here today" lily " because I don't think I am normal"......... exact same line my conversation started with, so accurate
Thanks so much for this video. My therapist suggested CBT, and my mental health has improved so much. I just wish section 2 didnt hurt my balls so much.
Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) is an effective treatment approach for a range of mental and emotional health issues, including anxiety and depression. CBT aims to help you identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and to learn practical self-help strategies.
The biggest fault with CBT is that it ignores "Unreliable narrator" phenomena. Definition: "An unreliable narrator is an untrustworthy storyteller, most often used in narratives with a first-person point of view. The unreliable narrator is either deliberately deceptive or unintentionally misguided, forcing the reader to question their credibility as a storyteller." This means, people do not know their emotions, they lack proper education and they rely on other people to explain what they feel - they watch it in movies or read about it, then they use self prophecy and believe in other people's explanations. That is the biggest loophole of CBT. Some people deliberately delude themselves about their emotions - and CBT takes it all for granted. CBT does not doubt it, the therapy goes along with whatever emotionally unstable person is reporting - which oftentimes is skewed due to low education about psychological health. CBT ought to be banned, it is totally unhealthy and amateurish branch of psychology.
@@ranc1977 actually some of this your thoughts ,I agree with that too.But I don't agree CBT must banned idea.Because human beings are social live and express themselves are most powerful organiser their thoughts and emotions.Sometimes person who take CBT, express him/herself other(wrong) way yes, but CBT not actual diagnose tool. This is helpful to stimulate good emotions for their lifes and act better for hard circumstances.Manage and support coping skills.
@@rpforme4262 Humanistic psychology does all that which you attribute CBT for. CBT is ableist therapy. CBT is form of narcissistic abuse. Therapy must not tell you what to do - otherwise that is coercive control and manipulation. Hence CBT is used as a weapon to silence victims of abuse and crime in politics and corrupt ambient - as a technique to dismiss whistle blowers. Since it is therapy of conformism and groupthink herd mentality, CBT would agree with Hitler in Nazi Germany. "The Martha Mitchell effect occurs when a medical professional labels a patient's accurate perception of real events as delusional, resulting in misdiagnosis."
"I think I am not Normal" That's actually a good thing. What most people associate with normal is actually what should be called 'average'. Society has labeled 'normal' that which is actually the socially acceptable level of neurosis. Actual Normal is a far more rare and complex level of cognitive discipline. Don't ever try to live 'up' to societies level of normal. Hyper normal is what you should be aiming for.
That image at 4:54 is so true. When a social interaction is milliseconds in length, I feel like the guy in the car. I speak in a rude tone, even though I don't mean it
Wow. Excellent..... Exactly what i need. I have been the happy owner of an excellent CBT that i need to apply to my own social anxiety, but i have been procrastinating it. Upon watching this excellent video, it gives me the push & reminder that i needed, i guess. Thanks so much for that. Cheers.
I'd love to know how CBT actually helps with people who are depressed because of trauma. There are so many reasons depression can kick in, I'm sure it can help for a bout of low mood, due to more futile reasons but telling someone who grew up in a dysfunctional environment to look at the positive learnings they got from it and how it made them stronger and that their carers did the best they could with the tools and awareness they had at the time is not going to lift their depression even in one million years.
bboycarmos 0 secondi fa I am not an expert.. however what might help the mind "go new ways" is to hear things like: one is not alone with these kind of problems, nobody is happy or proud of all of his past, but one can start over and be the person that he/she wants to be. I like the kind of therapies that make you look ahead on to "new ways" and won't linger too much in the past than it is necessary
@@bboycarmos it's the nature of trauma to keep you in the past until you work with the trauma and process it a deeper level, which is not the cognitive level, so although the points you mentioned can help to some extent, it will be still very hard to create the life you want when you have self sabotaging mechanisms kickin' in every time you try to move on. Self sabotaging mechanisms are a result of trauma and if you don't work with that a t a deeper level you can't get rid of these mechanisms
Breaking news: No evidence that depression is caused by low serotonin levels, finds comprehensive review Date: July 20, 2022 Source: University College London Summary: After decades of study, there remains no clear evidence that serotonin levels or serotonin activity are responsible for depression, according to a major review of prior research.
CBT mostly works, although things get interesting when the therapist falsely believes that you have false beliefs. This happens when a therapist brings their own biases into the fold, and they are dealing with an Autistic adult who has a completely different experience in life. For example: [P = Patient / T = Therapist] P: The other boys in my class effing hated me. They wished I was dead. T: Hmmmm, so you believe that they hated you. What prompted you to believe this? P: Oh, it was that day in gym class in the locker room, when they beat me up and yelled in my face, "We effing HATE you! We wish you were dead!" When this happens too much, it can make therapy tedious and less effective.
With your example its simple, you come to fix your problems but you dont have a problem, you are a victom of bullying. the problem is the class and they should get suspended. You are not the problem they are.
Yep! loophole in CBT is Unreliable narrator. "An unreliable narrator is an untrustworthy storyteller, most often used in narratives with a first-person point of view. The unreliable narrator is either deliberately deceptive or unintentionally misguided, forcing the reader to question their credibility as a storyteller."
This is also assuming young people in the school seeing are naturally kind which is not always true. What about when people are actually being called “stupid” and she is getting poor grades
Acetylcholine burned it on my brain, and now I mostly experience a vague pervasive sensation of this is not safe. This is how implicit emotional priming memory works. It is unconscious. It is an evolutionary adaptation to help in survival. CBT did not help, it cost me decades of my life. Trauma first folks, your parents may have done the best they could, that does not mean they didn't suck.
I also interpretate about peoplepl actions towards me and it's killing me and i don't have have regular classes like lily to apply this method i prepare for competitive exam studying in my room taking shorts breaks and end up with one two friends no boy friend.. i request sprouts team if they have something for this .. please ❤️
Great video! Thank you. What’s the narrator’s name?* She always does a fantastic job. Narrations can make or break videos, no matter the content. *Not Mithril. And don’t be that guy lol
