Donald Trump hasn't put the effort into finding out how far along Detroit has come. His idea of Detroit is from the bygone days. He's not up to date. Even if his idea reflected what Detroit was he doesn't think far enough ahead to realize the potential impact his words have on others. People are usually proud of where they live. He could have said something uplifting to raise their spirits and appeal to their sense of hope. He wants, instead, to appeal to their lack of hope and their grievances. He just spews his ideas out as quickly as they occur in his mind in a rambling fashion for the only purpose of usually trashing someone or something.

I love Detroit - friendly people! Got the red carpet treatment when I was there. The design of the on-ramps and off-ramps make it so easy to enter onto and exit from the expressways. I stayed in Madison Heights. Explored a bit of 8 Mile Road. Went to a Kroger supermarket in that area. Very nice store and super friendly people. Went to some music stores. One in Troy. One in Birmingham. Others elsewhere in the vastness of the city. I want to live in Detroit. Did all that 5 years ago during summer vacation. Needed car parts not available in Ontario. Went across the bridge from Windsor. Such a great experience! I want to make friends with Gretchen Whitmer! I think Gretchen and I could be very good friends. A friend of mine here in China reminds me of her. Very kind and giving person. I've actually never had the desire to make friends with any of the Ontario politicians.They're a different breed. I'm American on the inside through and through. Maybe could go as far as saying that I'm a Detroiter. If I can get a work visa to do teaching or something to somehow get into the States that would be so awesome.
