The Cognito Ultimate Leveling kit package is for those who have a large budget and want the absolute most flash and performance you can buy! This package includes everything needed to change the look, feel, and performance of your vehicle. For a standard model and Denali, this package will lift the front of the truck 3” and the rear lift is adjustable from 1”-2” depending on your taste in the trucks stance. If you have an AT4 or Trail Boss, you may already know that your truck is 2” taller front and rear than the standard model, so this package will lift the front 1”, and depending on your taste in stance you can set the rear to stay the same height or lower 1”, via the adjustability built into the mini-packs. Denali trucks, yes you have special stock shocks with Adaptive Ride Control (ARC), but we have you covered for that with an included hardware pack and instructions to easily bypass the ARC solenoids that connect to your stock shocks.
To properly level a truck and maintain the best ride possible, you must maintain a minimum of 3” of droop travel which Cognito does with its SM Series Upper Control Arm kit that has a corrected ball joint angle along with a high articulation joint. The Cognito control arm kit is a boxed sheet metal design, has maintenance free ball joints and pivot bushings, durable black powder coated finish, geometry to maximize performance, all pre-assembled and ready to bolt on. Along with the control arm kit, a proper length set of shocks is needed for that droop travel, and this package includes the no holds barred Fox Factory Race Series 3.0 Internal Bypass Shocks which have the recirculating reservoirs which help keep shock oil temperatures at bay, and they also feature Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjusters. ‘But I don’t race my truck..’ you say, we understand but that is what these shocks are called because they have all of the Fox racing technology embedded in them, again these are for a large budget individual who just has to have the best you can buy.
The rear end of the truck will need to come up at minimum 1” to accommodate the longer rear shocks, and the height can come up to 2” or somewhere in between if you prefer, via the adjustable height Deaver mini packs that are included. Since The AT4 and Trail Boss models are already 2” taller, the stock overload spring will come out, as well as the stock 2” block and the 2” axle perch spacer for the bump stop. That will all get replaced with the included mini packs for a more plush ride on the bigger bumps, and the new 1.5” bump stop spacers in order to protect the shocks from bottom out. Longer u-bolts are included and round out the contents of the Ultimate Leveling kit.
285/75R18 (35x11.5) on 9” wide wheel with 0 offset will require a lot of inner fender well trimming, +18mm offset less trimming, negative offset not recommended.
295/65R20 (35x11.8) on 9” wide wheel with 0 offset will require a lot of inner fender well trimming, +18mm offset less trimming negative offset not recommended.
35x12.5 on 9” wide wheel with +18mm offset will require a lot of inner fender well trimming, 0mm and negative offset not recommended.
295/60R20 (34x11.8) on 9” wide wheel with -12mm offset will require a lot of inner fender well trimming, 0 offset will require moderate inner fender well trimming, +18mm offset less trimming.

I'd love to know how the on-road ride quality is which is most important to me. I've got a 2022 AT4X with the DSSV shocks and it rides great. I actually have a 2024 AT4 on order for which I am deciding what to do with the suspension. I drove it and wasn't impressed with the ride, definitely inferior compared to my current AT4X. Have you driven an AT4X? How does this compare? How does it compare to the stock AT4 ride quality?

this Fox 3.0 IBP package is incredibly soft, softer than factory, but not sloppy like the factory trucks, rebound much better, you'll notice this up driveways, potholes, speed bumps, hard hits. The DSC can also fine tune this behavior any way you want.

if you got the money it’s definitely better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it especially for guys like me who like to spontaneously hit the desert and off-road and just bung around in the dirt for shits and giggles. may just have to save up for this package for my ZR2 HD

So question… I have a base model GMC Sierra 1500 and it’s not leveled. Obviously it’s shorter than the AT4 (Ride Height) what lift would I need to get close to that AT4? 3-6” inch lift? I feel as if a 6icnh lift may be too much and I don’t like the little guard under the engine bay when it’s lifted. That ride height in the video looks great in my opinion.

You definitely want to get a 3" Cognito Leveling kit. The AT4's come with a 2" front lift.

If you were going to lift / level it anyway you could have gotten the same paint match , black accents and no chrome in an elevation for less money…
@cody808H
@cody808H 3 месяца назад
You lose so much in the elevation model. 5.3 vs 6.2, memory seats, a/c seats, better interior all around, tires, multi tailgate, Bose, etc… elevation right now is 54k and at4 is 60k right now with discounts. 6k for those upgrades is worth it.

I’m interested in the rear leaf pack for my at4. Besides an improved ride, Is there any improvement to the tow capacity?
@ShockSurplus
@ShockSurplus 3 дня назад
no, add a leafs do not increase towing capacity. what it does is increases the ride height of the rear of the truck, so the same load will not sag the rear end so much.

Nice truck and kit. I just got the GMC sierra 1500 Elevation 3.0 Duramax 4x4. I want to lift or level it soon to the height of the AT4 or trail boss. Dealer has a factory rancho 2” lift and comes with dealer warranty. It Will basically make the truck a AT4 ride height for $1400 bucks plus installation. The kit comes with 2 new front axles, 4 shocks, 2” blocks but no upper control arms. They also reset things like trans, headlights and sensor for Cruise control . There is a video on RU-vid detailing the kit. Just scared NOT to use dealer and do a lift kit at a shop and then have warranty issues. I don’t think my budget can afford Fox and was wondering what you think I should go with. I will never tow or go off road really. Just looking for look and want a good ride. Im not sure about rancho and was thinking of blistein 5100. They should both be fine for my needs. Thanks

3.5 inch Rough Country Vertex kit. $2700 and you get front and rear shocks with external reservoirs and adjustable dampening, new upper controls arms, rear 2inch spacer blocks with new u bolts. Just got them for my 23 Sileverado rst and they’re amazing absolutely cannot beat them for the price. The least expensive similar kit setup from one of the “better” brands is $4500-$5000. Nothing but good things about them in all the reviews I found.
