First of all, thanks for the informative videos. My question is what is the best way to to put 2 inline 3ft offset points at an angle point of a wall bending at say 45 degrees + or -?
Travis can you let say shoot 2 points that were staked in the field but not on drawing and then offset the points back out of the way .. Like for example, surveyor put in offset building corners, he didn't offset them enough for digging purposes. I want to move them back further, can ya do that with cogo
Yes you can do this in SCS900 or Siteworks, the way I'd do this is I would stake out a line between these two points at fixed stations so it snaps to either the beginning station (point A) or end station (point B). Then apply a horizontal offset to the line in the desired direction in the stakeout line settings
Also, concerning this video, you actually do not need to go through COGO to do what he does. You simply have to stakeout the desired line, and then go to stakeout line settings and check the option to create tangent/corner points and it will automatically create points at intersections of segments. Then you would stakeout the line at fixed station intervals and you would be able to stakeout a particular corner of a line without any hassle
