Ah yes. There's just something so satisfying about a do-it-all sniper rifle. I remember trying to take down a heavy tank with a squad......didn't work.
Yah as such weapons are good against light armoured and soft skinned vehicles. So I could picture a boys anti tank gun ravaging an german troop convoy of opel blitz trucks without proper tank support only escorted by handle full armoured cars that are scrambling to find the threat while themselves getting pick off one by one. And finally when panzers and assault guns show up the anti tank rifle team is long gone and leaving the panzer crews confused to what just happened or reports through the german com chatter that entire supply truck convoys had suddenly and swiftly been destroyed. Proper at cannons and bazookas work better against tanks aside from counter with your own tanks and tank destroyers. But definitely I can such weapons causing fear among the enemy infantry ,motorized and light mechanized forces since its happens so quickly and then everything suddenly quiet and ominous. As the survivors are surveying the area only to see that the burning wrecks of armoured cars like the 222 model or Pumas and 251halftracks as well soft skinned opel blitz transports. While hearing the screams, moans and groans of the wounded and dying brothers in arms will watching other survivors burry their dead comrades in arms. I know this is funny and meme worthy in COH 2. But I could only imagine the horror such weapon could to the every day soldiers and mechanized panzer grenadiers for the rear forces/ guards of advancing panzer formations in enemy territory that still have silent but deadly pockets of resistance they would could include anti vehicle rifle crews lurking the shadows not easily to catch and deal with it at times. I know that was a little too deep and ruining the meme fun but it just made me think how scary it would be on the receiving end of one these At Rifles for non tank crews and light armoured troop carrying vehicles that are open toped and pretty exposed to any sort of sniper fire from the enemy.at least with a standard sniper rifle the troops could take cover and the armour would defeat small 22 caliber rifle rounds but a 55 caliber would punch holes straight through a half tracks light armour easily.
in war I would really give a fuck about if it's fair to use anti tank rounds against human targets, just to spread the terror and psichological pressure among the enemy, give them the big fuck off
An AT gun was usually designed to have the loader on one side of the breech and the gunner on the other, meaning that if the last guy would try to keep fighting he would have to walk around the breech to load, then around again to aim and fire, increasing the time needed to fire, and if a tank drives too far to the side, he has to move that heavy gun all by himself, meanwhile an mg team could be just one guy, but has multiple to make it harder for the enemy to flank it, because the gunner for an mg is also the loader, the other guys are also there to carry extra ammo, though in CoH and CoH 2 that purpose doesn't exist because all infantry, tanks and emplacements have infinite ammo, seriously, I've tried it with the tiger, which could bring a maximum of 104 rounds and it kept firing the main gun 200 shots later
British: we need a powerfull AT rifle that can deal with all modern tanks, be light and have good rate of fire. Also british: ignore 15mm BESA/ZB-60 round in their own production in favor of putting new bullet into .50 to make it cheap, but results in weaker and more expensive round, makes it bolt action instead of using automatic system to eat some recoil, still adds a magazine despite it being bolt action. Heck yeah!
Noooo! You can't just have three tanks racing across the battlefield outmaneuvering and outflanking everything they come across! Ha ha, Meteor engine and Merrit-Brown gearbox goes brrrr!
War Crimes Allied Forces: 2 Killing retreating enemy 0:11 (That was pretty obvious) 1:14 Unarmed, Injured, and retreating, damn Axis Powers: 3 Using a Flamethrower (At least trying too) Targeting and killing injured enemies Using a Flamethrower
killing retreating enemies is not a war crime using a flamethrower is only a war crime if used to kill vegetation or on areas with civillians killing unarmed/injured enemies is not a war crime if the enemy is not surrendering
The A.I in the game are incapable of defending themselves whilst retreating until the players gives them directions to engage. Flamethrowers have been banned by Geneva for their inhumane nature. Killing unarmed/injured enemies if they do not surrender IS a warcrime no matter what, they can't defend themselves which means they shouldn't be taken as an immediate threat
The Brits considered mass-producing their AT rifle to equip every soldier with one. They likely could have taken Berlin by early 1941 if they had. This however would have been unsporting and therefore unBritish and was rejected as such.
I juste started to play with the british, they're not as Bad as i thougt (but they're still Bad, they're like a "reinforcement" faction, you're fucked if you're 4 british in the team)
If a british faction can build mortars, Bofors and Flaks then they're pretty much set up to defend the place well enough againts enemies and the troops to push em to ensure they don't use arty or something
