Have you ever considered posting a series of successful quick games? I find that seeing a strat play out perfectly can be just as instructional as a tight close game. There's something to be said for knowing how to CLOSE out once you get an early advantage. Also how to get said early advantage through placement and cap order and such.
Amazing game against Acehiro no less! I struggle to use this commander in 1v1 and see you use the officer in multiple ways, will be a great lesson on how it can be used.
Have you seen Gronks vids? I'm curious if you could as some more in depth tacticle context to some of his great pointers... (when to use, good strats with, ect.) I feel like yall have the same kinda vibe for helping the community get better. Much love from canada.
Honestly man I think u really could of used a half track in this with those four man squads could of replenished them in between engagements. Overall great game man had me on the edge of my seat the whole time haha
No love for the tiger? If I remember you didn't like luftwaffe support but if you mainly used this commander for the officer squad what's the difference?
I feel the smoke on the artillery officer is more useful, the vet 1 mortar strike is better than the anti infantry strafe and the coordinated strike can be very handy to milk more value from a werfer late game especially vs team weapon heavy soviet builds. Basically every ability is the same or better on it IMO
It's neigh impossible to win against a good OST player with double double as USF without calliope. Especially not with the E8 commander that has one useful ability (sandbags) Not to mention uselesness of E8. He went for the E8 with the focused gunnery instead of just getting two jacksons and an MG
@@dominikcar5570 E8 on 1v1 is a pretty versatile tank and with comander you can see that overmatches p4 and has chances to pen panther frontally. I think that in the midgame instead of going for a lieutenant he could have brought double scot and used smoke barrages more often to support weapons or even a mortar could have been a good idea and use much more smoke. He did a great job flanking but needed more smoking screens.
@@tracknes Those pens were on Gunnery I believe, and even then, hitting and penning a Panther frontally is not really reliable. He has a game where the E8 bounced point blank 4 times in a row, without gunnery. E8 is a 1v1 niche. In 2v2+ it's downright useless, unless you can get a big mass of them. In 1v1 it can be somewhat decent, but if there are double pak40s on the field. Good luck. Even with smoke, decent ground attacks are possible. It's not like smoke is a one-way street. E8 is just not worth it unless it's en-masse. And to get it en-masse you first need double AT guns of your own. Also, Scott without path vision is useless. 50 autofire range is easy pickings for a Panther/pak40, and barrage can be easily dodged in 1v1s. In 3v3s+ it's a different story. Many more units, much more things to keep track of, much more difficult to keep an eye out for everything. As such, barrages can work
@@tracknes I have tried to use the E8 and it just ends up being underwhelming most of the time. While the penetration is good enough against a Panzer IV, against a Panther, it is just not reliable enough to make up for it´s non-existent damage against infantry. If you go for the Commander upgrade, it basically turns into a worse Panther that is forced to face actual heavy tanks (unlike the real Panther, which mostly faces mediums with paper armor).
