Pretty sure this band means a lot more to a lot of people than people will ever truly grasp.

I have no friends or significant other. I feel very low in life and hardly feel like staying alive. Coheed is one of the things in this world that helps me, if you're reading this you aren't alone out there

My favorite song of all time.

It's still fascinating, to me, how IKSSE just sort of came out of nowhere. SSTB was just so rough around the edges and year and a half later we're blindsided with this prog rock masterpiece. This is my favorite song off of what I think is still Coheed's best album.

How this song relates to the lore of Armory Wars: This song is about Ambellina, a willing outcast from the Prise, and group of "angels" - blue women-like creatures with wings that guard the Keywork. She has literally had her wings burned off to make her more human. She has had little to no communication with the outside world outside from following Claudio and keeping him safe. Claudio has been hiding in a city on the world of Godder Damm for the past decade or so. Hence, Ambellina severed her ties to shroud Claudio under the streets of "this city." The first half of the song is from Ambellina's point of view, ending with the line "I've parted three ways." The second half of the song is Claudio coming to grips with fact that he is "The Crowing," a sort of savior that is supposed to rise up and save the Keywork from Wilhelm Ryan, the main antagonist of the series.

This is the first coheed song i ever heard and changed my taste in music forever!

I still vividly remember hearing this song for the first time. I had been very fondly aware of the guys when they were still Shabütie. I greatly enjoyed TSSTB. So when they released the title track and this song to promote the album, I didn't hesitate to give it a listen. I was thoroughly impressed by both songs, thinking that they have improved a lot (from an already high level). Then came "dear Ambellina ... " and I was stunned. One thing I don't understand, the Crowing is destined to destroy the Keywork, but the Keywork is critical to keeping Heaven's Fence together. Given how many people live on Heavens Fence, why is destroying the Keywork a good thing? Especially how we see the aftermath in Vaxis Act I, what world's were not destroyed became prison colonies for what appears to be an even greater evil than the Red Army. Wouldn't that have made Claudio an even worse villain than Wilhelm Ryan? We never got the story of No World for Tomorrow, so does that get explained there?
