My understanding is that it was (at least in part) the very payments at issue here-- in particular the payments he made to Daniels were in excess of the amounts allowed under the campaign finance laws.

There has not actually been anything presented during the case that’s a crime. It’s not a crime to pay for NDAs. It’s not a crime to have your attorney arrange for the payments and the details. It’s not a crime to take your attorney’s advice on how to do it. It’s not a crime to pay your attorney back for having done this. It’s not a crime for a bookkeeper, who isn’t you, to label those payments as “legal expenses”.

Inflation that got as high as 9% and is still almost twice as high as we want it to be. That’s not good for the country. Ridiculous foreign policy resulting in Russia invading Ukraine, Hamas invading Israel, terrorists trying to shut down international shipping lanes and China seriously threatening Taiwan and all of them doing it because we are weak. That’s not good for our country. The monthly cost of living costing average Americans hundreds of dollars more is not good for our country. Housing prices skyrocketing, car prices higher than ever, food prices, gas prices. None of that is good for our country. Telling half the population that we’re extremists and domestic terrorists for not liking Biden. That’s not good for our country.
