Born and brought up in Coimbatore I miss my home town. At 72 now in Brisbane I love to watch any video that portrays my best city in the world. At age 10 I've seen donkeys carrying bundles of clothes. Plenty of jatkas as horse bandies taking children to school. Just a few cars plenty of cyclists. No one on the road after 6pm. 😂😂😂😂 Now look at this bustling city. Fantastic and thank you
Yes sister. I am also missing coimbatore. What are all you say is true. Our house at that time Sullivsn street. Near Gandhi park. We enjoyed calm life with good weather. LEELA
All towns, cities transformed as such since 3 decades. Totally spoiled, No clean air, water roads, u name it, India changed for no good. Used to read Rajeshkumar novels and visited saibaba colony during late night for the feel of it.
Nice vlog. You missed visiting the perur Shiva temple and the Marudamalai murugan temples. And also Isha dhyanalingam and adiyogi. Maybe you can make a second trip and cover these places.
Mam..not only in coimbatore..anywhere in tamilnadu OLA drivers are charging an extra amount..very baddddd...sss the 10rupee coin that's a real struggle..big shops are accepting , but small roadside vendors , few auto people not accepting it..😂😂even I had fought with many to accept the coins.😂
I have picked same color saree in pure silk for my brother wedding from PSR silks its worth visit as its collection will be nice and this shop is originally from Coimbatore unlike rest whose HQ are in Chennai
Hindustan has some of the most beautiful n wonderful locations to travel enjoy food and great hospitality. The lady is so dignified and humble and honest in her behaviour expressions and conduct . Now that's a Super Star who has qualities of a icon
Nice content in this vlog...however, video/audio editing here seems very choppy. Please do the needful adjustments to your future videos, so it is pleasant to watch.
Fabulous vlog. Before watching this vlog I didn't have an idea that Coimbatore has so much to offer. The temples are so beautiful, the silk saree shops are so huge have fantastic variety and the food looks so delicious. The sarees that you have bought are so pretty and I definitely want to see how it looks on you. Please share the pictures of it. The hotel that you are staying at is amazing and the breakfast buffet is fantastic. This vlog has made me crave to visit Coimbatore. Please make such more mind-blowing vlogs. 💖💖💖💖💖💖
Nice to see your video. I'm from. Coimbatore.. Nice that you visited this beautiful city.. Kindly do not use ola.. Please use Red Taxi Or Go taxi. They will not charge you extra penny.. And you will be so comfortable and whatever comes on the meter you pay. There are more places to visit like the Marudhamalai Subramanya temple up the hill where you climb up the steps or take a taxi over the road up the hill. The Perur Pateeswara shiva temple..Isha Yoga center.. Anuvavi Subramanya temple ( up the hill).. Iscon temple near airport and Then tirupati temple nearby Mettupalayam. People of Coimbatore are so sweet and soft spoken just like the Siruvani water which is the second largest sweetest water in the world.. Truely Coimbatore..
Vadai is the way Tamilians call it. Everyone else calls it Vada. I feel really stupid that I didn't visit the Vinayagar and the Ayyappan temple even though I have been to Coimbatore twice. IN additon to all these famous restaurants you dine in, can you please include visiting one or two mom and pop or family run restaurants of much smaller size? BTW, the origin of Ramaserry idli is from Ramaserry in Palakkad distrct of Kerala.
Greetings from South Africa. I am planning to visit Coimbatore for a holiday. I want to see Munnaar Ooty and Coimbatore. I like to stay in the hotel you stayed maybe for one night, and stay at the Isha centre for 2 nights. Any advice on how I must plan this trip.. not sure if I will fly into Kochi airport... Let me know what you think.

Hi Shweta. Your vlogs have always been a such a joy to me. I hope to visit India someday, but for now my son and I travel vicariously through your adventures. Your home cooking videos have also inspired us to try them for ourselves. Sending love from Manila, Philippines :) PS. We hope you will visit some local independent bookstores in the future --- we'd love to see how they look like. :)
Welcome to Coimbatore Shweta!! Never thought you'd be in our city someday. Also a small tip you can go for Red taxi, their services is much better than OLA here.
Tamilandu is a rich state - everywhere you go, the food is just out of the world. They are very generous with the quantities too, I am from Andhra, but I would choose Tamilnadu as my 2nd home in a heart beat. Lover your videos as always Shwetha.
I have been your fan since very long time..I enjoy the way you speak and how you vlog being done ✅... Especially I really need one such thing that you cook at home and how you organise things and how you take care of your house that is something that I am looking forward to... thank you so much for stopping by to read my message ....

This is the first time I am watching a vlog on coimbatore. Thanks Shweta. I am dying to buy the sarees after looking at the collection. I thought coimbatore was mainly about temples but the food looks sooooo tempting
Pu Nu Gu it is. Guntur, Vijayawada fame EVENING snack... Which goes with a Mild Pungent Tam' Chatney. Check out Idlis, pesara there, allam Chatney (ginger) in tomato Place and the cost nearly Half 😌
Beautiful Coimbatore- so clean& well maintained. Revisited Shree Devi saree shopping memories! Lovely shopping of humongous varieties of silks; very confusing too. But best silks are available with mind boggling stuff. Huge huge showrooms floors upon floors. All in all enjoyable vlog 👍
Entertaining as well as very informative vlog... Your videos are a stress buster, after a long tiring day... Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️...😊
Ola and uber drivers in coimbatore are menace. All of them charge 30 to 50 rupees extra on top of the rate showed in app. That is why mostly people won't use them to the extent of Bangalore or Chennai.
My mouth is watering looking at the dosa ...it's my favourite. Must visit coimbatore once again. It still has the old world charm left. Beautiful, simple and well articulated vlog. ❤
Coimbatore❤❤❤ My favourite place! Im from Kerala but ever since ive studied and worked here i am in love with this city and even dream of settling down here. Coimbatore has a charm of its own😊 Thanku for showing the city and most of my fav places in this video! This is my first time to your channel and glad that it appeared in my feed. Subscribed right away❤ Loved urr short, sweet and crisp narration🎉
Lovely vlog..you showed what to eat /what to shop...this is what makes it interesting to watch often we don't know what food to order or what to buy..wherever we visit...wonderful vlog !
Hi Swetha.... First of all thanks for visiting my hometown... One day us not enough for covering my city... You have missed temples such as Perur shiva temple, marudamalai murgan temple which are built centuries back.. Sri Krishna sweets is famous for its mysurpa... Also a trip to pollachi for their top slip, temple and valparai tea estate where you have many home stay facilities... Its really worth the penny... Hope you come again to my wonderful city soon. Thanks dear ❤
Lots of love for sharing amazing places and other details. I randomly started watching your videos and was engaged by your communication skills. Your explanation is very different from other vloggers. I really wish I could also talk like that😊
Hi Shweta.. What you say about Ola / Uber in tier II cities is so true. Even in Chennai, there are some auto drivers and cab drivers who demand more than the sum that is shown for the ride, mostly Rs 20 or 30 extra. But I found that in Madurai where I went to recently, drivers downright refused drives, they would demand atrociously and one of them even commented that Ola and Uber will exit the city very soon since the drivers are dropping out real quick. If you are bargaining also, there is never a decent bargain - they usually demand egregious amounts.. It has been my experience too. I wish this experience was similar to what one may have in other states and cities but unfortunately not so. Even in Chennai, auto drivers don't accept change in coins - which baffles me too. Hope the rest of your stay and overall experience was good.
Idk if u have another person filming ur videos but the clips of things ur trying to show are moving TOO fast. The random pop ups of objects is annoying and so is the sound! Pleasego back to ur original style i dont like it
Thank you Swetha for covering my city first thing came into my mind is I think u were in bit hurry or u were running short of time there's much more to explore to in this city anyways better luck next time ❤
Super duper like We need more such episodes.. excellent editing, narration and you kept it short and simple. Thanks for sharing the link to the trolley bag.. useful for domestic travel in India. Saree option’s were great from budget friendly to luxurious one
Yes mam it's vadai only, not Vada...and it's dhosai , not dosa... It's itili not idly... Coimbatore is not the city of temples, its Kumbakonam in tamilnadu.
Even in Kutch they are not accepting 10-20 rupees coin.. I just don't know why the hell they don't accept them 😑😑 they don't even have reason 😅 They accept UPI payments but not the coins 😅
The worst thing about the entire tamilnadu is the autowalas they just spol ur entire experience. and best thing is the people living there friendly helping and gentle
Great vlog...very nice editing....editing of this video looked different compared to ur old ones.......wanted to know which editor you used for editing
Wow very good city tour and u explore very awsm places, necer seen coimbatore city before ❤ tysm for sharing 🎉 south indian cuisine is my all time favourite ❤ and i also like South Indian style traditional homes and their culture ❤ 25:25
Trivia time 😀 So Dosai and Vadai are Tamil In Kannada it's Dosa and Vada And in Malayalam it's Doshai and vadai Also, if you like silk sarees, do check out Kanchipuram - the city. Not Kancheepuram Silks 😀. It's a silk saree lovers' paradise!
It's very interesting how that temple closes from 12pm-5pm. Normally, noon is solar noon, and it's recommended to avoid the sun till 4-5pm. So, I'm wondering if their hours have anything to do with solar positioning.
In your vlog coimbatore city looks beautiful there eating and shopping places are nice temples are also good ,i love to watch your vlogs keep bringing this type of beautiful vlogs 😊
your all videos are importantly informative, rather than just hiding the real experience, and your hair dryer looks interesting to me, can you share detail of that product please?
