Great coins. I used to go to Antiques Market in Salisbury glad to see it was still running - lovely place to visit. The Godless Florin and of course the Queen Anne Shilling (about the same condition as mine) looked great. However the the William and Mary Half Crown is my favourite - well done !
I’m a bit biased since I love early milled but I have to vote for Charles. That is such an incredible portrait! Plus the half crown is an excellent coin and the reverse is beautiful. My favourite no doubt.
I like the variety of monarchs on the hammered coins, but eye appeal goes goes to the William/Mary 1/2 crown and Anne shilling. looks like a fun day at the market.
A copy of the Magna Carta is in Salisbury cathedral, but king jhon signed it in Runnymead, under the Ankerwycke yew tree, the ancient tree is still there, you can visit it. I have
I was amazed at the good taste you guys have, Queen Anne Shilling, WM Halfcrown, Henry VII halfgroat. The H7 is a stonker, never mind the hole, that is all part of its history, likely worn by a follower of the King from the time of the battle of Bosworth. You even got the best looking WM half crown, with the later design. I am not a fan of the early ones.
Well done fellas 💪 you all got some wonderful coins today! I personally love the old hammered and milled silvers! We don't find those here in the States.
You lads need to get over to Lincolnshire, Theirs the largest antiques fairs on a regular basis. Their is Hemswell antique centres the largest in Europe . And small towns like Horncastle full of centres and shops. .
The King John is a Short Cross Penny and you hit he jackpot with that coin The Henry 7th half groat was a steel too...And I think they just edge out the William And Mary Half Crown, The Queen Ann shilling was another star find.....
Difficult choice as all three of you did VERY well, I will go for Max though. Getting a godless florin and queen Anne shilling under 100 is great by itself, but he still had a budget for an extra one !
4 minutes, that poster! I bought a copy at the Tower of London in 2014, so its definitely a bit old now. Cost me £3 or 4 as I remember, so you got a better deal! Ethan, you are obsessed - its hilarious watching it - medieval mania has grabbed you. Max's halfcrown is the winner though, that coin is beautiful and very well priced. All of the coins are amazing though - you all did well - much better than wasting it on some silly modern NCLT like a Peppa Pig coin.
Hey guys get yourself metal detectors you can get them for free, have found some amazing coins including a george iii and iv hoard 6 shillings 4 half crowns 2 gold guineas george iv sovereign and same half sovereign with a gold posey ring too, worth considering... Great video by the way
@@BitsAndBobsCoins thanks for the help, went to Salisbury today and my son got 9 medieval coins from the antiques market. Also amazing video, my vote goes to Ethan. Keep up the good work
i have to vote for quality over quantity and therefore the william and mary half crown does it for me... for what its worth im not a fan of coins that aren't very decipherable--- even if their history is amazing.
