Jerry was pretending the warranty meant little but it means a lot especially for a Euro car. I'm gonna bet Jerry will be harping on about the warranty to customers
Just because chinese pay big $$$$ for a house they won't pay big $$$$ for a second hand car let alone a chinese car salesman. Why doesn't he sell it back to the merc dealership.
He is a car dealer and his role is to be charming. And he was. I enjoyed my chat with him. He was polite and friendly. Very welcoming. He also had his tactics on full display such as talking the entire time to try and prevent me from thinking too much and just accepting whatever came out of his mouth. But that didn't bother me at all, it was fun to watch as I was prepared and aware of it the entire time. I watched every single thing he did, and tested a few things to see how he would react. Again, I like the guy. He just has a business model that requires him to buy cars at very, very low prices.
Yep, that works all the time, put it $2K under the cheapest bid and it will sell in a Day or a Week or in a Month. Keep your car on Carsales for a year and maybe somebody will buy it, or just maybe, just maybe you will reduce your price under to what Jerry will pay for it and it will sell.
If you have a problematic car it is easier to quickly off-load to a dealer without rwc. Cut your losses, take the low-ball offer and run. Did that to my Citroen. I do not want to create enemies so I didn't even bother selling to friends, relatives, or workmates
@@adamtomech9876 You might smell excrement, but that is probably from your back yard fertiliser. If you bothered to research me just a little, you'd find out a lot more!
In future when you ‘flip coin’ for deal you have to slightly reduce your initial final offer ($9,500 + Uber to city) for it to make sense - should have been $9,250 + Uber to city (vs) $10,000 - Uber to city
5:02 was not his car and he was selling it on behalf of someone else, like those two Sri Lankan dudes like in Vlog 001? Why else did he have to call someone quickly
A 4x4 Renault with 180k is nearing its end of useful life. I pity the next owner and Jerry who has to deal with him. If the diff fails, it would cost more to fix than the the value of the car. The seller was ready to run with $9.5K loot and even got a bonus 500 with a coin toss that has nothing for Jerry to win 😅
you & your main staff & sales-manager(s) should install and setup DiDi rideshare app on your phone, it’s much cheaper than Uber if have to call a rideshare-car for yourselves or customer
Happy to answer questions on what I was doing. I like my new name you've all seemed to ordain me with :) EDIT: OK folks, I'm done replying to any further comments in this thread. If you wish to join a new community, you know where to find me. I will be renaming the channel when I launch which is very soon so I suggest subscribing now if it's something you want to watch! Live streaming the negotiations too.
@@sandybrisbane4167 Not true. Mercedes offer a Mercedes Certified programme for cars that meet a certain criteria. Mine is over 100k and they have guaranteed it with a warranty for two years with an OEM warranty and done a full thorough inspection of the vehicle. Go look up Mercedes Certified and you'll see for yourself. I've already had three warranty things fixed with absolutely no fuss from them.
@@sandybrisbane4167 Well, since I've had my car (which I bought at 100k's on the clock with a two year Mercedes Benz OEM warranty called Mercedes Certified) they have fixed three things under warranty without any complaint. They covered my ubers to/from the dealership to home whilst they fixed them too.
I have no plans in selling the car. My intentions were different. I've made numerous comments on my intent in here and on my profile page as to what they are. I love the car. It is the best car I've owned to date and it's worth way more than what Jerry offered as Jerry runs a certain type of business model that works for him. BTW, I don't begrudge Jerry. He was very polite to me the entire time. He is fun.
Hi Folks! You’ve called me the Warranty Guy, so I’m here to clarify what I’ve been doing. I’m researching for a possible business where I help people buy cars for a flat $1100 fee, including trade-ins, without dealing with dealers. Here are some key points from this video: 1. OEM Warranty: The 7-year-old Mercedes had an OEM warranty, not third-party. It’s invaluable-anything wrong gets fixed like a new car would. 2. Low Offer: I was offered $23k but had a $36k offer from another dealer. Jerry low-balls, but that’s his business model. He’s like a pawn shop-quick cash, but low. 3. Jerry’s Tactic: He talks constantly to prevent you from thinking too much and tries to talk the price down. 4. My Idea: I’m testing if people would pay me to handle car deals. You tell me what car you want, I find it, handle everything, and you just sign the papers. It’s about taking the hassle away, and I don’t take commissions. Warranties matter, especially on expensive cars. Mercedes offering a 2-year warranty on a 7-year-old car is a big deal. I’m open to any constructive feedback or questions. I won’t waste time with insults, but feel free to ask me anything!
@Sushi_Sashimi_2 That's exactly what I am looking at doing. As for the cheapest price, that will be an added bonus. The core business model is to simply deal with the dealerships so the car buyer doesn't have to. If I can save them some money in the process, I'll do my best, but it's not a promise in the deal. I'll upload a video now - great idea and people can talk to me there rather than hijack here. I just felt given the amount of negative comments, I thought I'd jump in to explain what I was really doing.
So confusing...why would we engage in you to buy cars for us? What makes you able to get a better deal? Why would the general public trust your opinion. You went to Jerry to sell your car, not buy a car. How does that show off any ability of yours in able to buy a good car at a good price? Good luck
@@whatsfordinner1695 You probably aren't my target market, and that's fine. My proposition actually isn't about getting a better deal - it's about taking the entire process of buying / trading-in a car off someone's hands because they don't like dealing with car dealerships. Me being in that video is a perfect example of what many don't want to deal with. BTW, I have nothing against Jerry - I liked him. And that's my point - I enjoy people like Jerry and get on with them. So I'm happy to negotiate and do a deal on behalf of someone who doesn't like doing it. That's my value proposition. If I happen to get a competitive price, that is a by product of my value proposition. In terms of trust - you raise a really good point. That's why I am going to stream what I do live. So it's transparent and people can judge for themselves. You are right I have to earn the trust, which I will do. Trust is everything - without trust you've got nothing. Go watch my video on my channel if you like. Also check out Delivrd's channel in the USA. It's exactly the same concept.
@@WarrantyGuy your business idea is dumb on so many levels. It would make more sense if you told us you take 1k for helping sell the car on the clients behalf to different dealerships to save the hassle. Are you a mechanic? Can you get wholesale prices? Do you have some clever negotiation tactics to allow you to get a better price? No? Then where is your value proposition. Why would there be a hassle in buying a car from the dealer. If the car checks out and is a good price compared to the car sales. Give a price yes or no, it’s done. If the car has issues, there’s scratches, there’s mechanical problems, instead of dealing directly with the dealer, I have to deal with you and potentially spend more time deciding what’s going on when I could have just spoken to the dealer directly. So who’s your target market? People with too much money and not enough brains? Those people exist but they’re not looking for used cars. But hey give me 1k and I’ll break it down for you.
When you sell your car to jerry and it has 2 year warranty he will say it's nothing special or it does not add value, when you go to buy that same car from jerry he will tell you 2 year warranty is worth an extra 30k and it's a must have and how special it is.
This maybe the case but as always, sellers can always put in the effort and sell private. Nobody has a gun to their heads to deal with Jerry or any other dealer.
@@Snapppz Any seller would have done their due diligence to ascertain what they could achieve via a private sale and assess whether it's worth their effort, as opposed to selling to a dealer like Jerry.
