Personally this is not only my BOTY but I think it's the best battle based in the UK this decade. Amazing performance from Gem and the best Cojay I've ever seen in my opinion. The diss tracks, the battle getting postponed, the face offs and interviews were all great as well felt like there was a really well constructed narrative going into this battle that made it way more enjoyable. Salute to both men this deserves 100K.

To be fair, over here the scene did go off the boil after D.F disbanded, and then when 'the pandemic' struck there was nothing notable happening for a long time. Now it feels like it's picking back up again; this battle and Shotty/Marlo were the best U.K battles in years, felt like the good old Saturday uploads back in the prime days. Just need some new talent on the scene now.

Battle raps version of Haney vs Lomachenko, fire battle, judges called it wrong, but it wasn't a robbery either. Cojays fake choke flopped for me, Gem was shushing the crowd, encouraging him, and had no expression on his face at all - couldn't have been more supportive 😂 Gemin1 took the first 2 rounds pretty clear, the 3rd was a clear win for Cojay.

Seen the fake choke move like 6 times in battle rap now. Bond, UFC, Eddie Murphy, Patrick Swayze, Inspector Gadget, Ghislene Maxwell, Markle prints, Heath Ledger, Something borrowed Something blew, Houdini... Nah those schemes won those 2 rounds ez. Gems bars are something else. Cojay stand out bars was Pokemon, Charlie ticket & Twitching nerve. He can have the 3rd tho bt I think them judges got caught up.

@@qu4rtz I've seen some great ones, Lunar C being the best one! This would've been sick if Gem had done anything resembling his face lighting up but he didn't. Gem did a great one for Shox when he baited shox into saying "that's my bar", if Shox hadn't taken the bait it wouldn't have worked but because he did it was awesome. Sadly for Cojay Gem didn't take the bait so it didn't really work, but everyone in the room loved it and it won him the battle so fair play.

I never saw a unanimous decision coming Cojays way but I agree with the judges...Props to Cojay, he has come on a long way and was in beast mode. Gemini will always be one of the sickest UK battle rappers but I think it was a great win for Cojay! Great as a fan too to see the life that is being pumped back into UK battle rap.

Great battle …. Insane & intense. I had Gem 1st & 2nd but I wouldn’t be mad at anyone who had Cojay winning the first. At the end of the day it was a classic. Deserves way more views. Cojay deserves the shine & Gem’s rapping and performance ability are at the highest of levels. Congrats guys

Yeah this is a proper battle. Both MCs really going for it, not pulling any punches, so close I’d have to watch it again to call it… and I will watch it again. Been a fan of Gemin1 and slept on cojay but I’ll be following both of them more closely now. Also those diss tracks sound fire, got to check those out! Time to recognise the new UK scene for what it is. In the DF era, no-one even came close to Gem. He battered Dialect, Shox, Unan and more. Now Bobby and Cojay have brought it like this (both technically from the old gen) but there's Bizzo, Viz, Rivers and more who have taken this game to a new level. The UK scene needs to get the recognition it deserves again, and it starts with UK fans!
