After Strings it just went downhill and I had such high expectations from Xulfi cuz he was an AMAZAING producer at Nescafe but what a huge let down he's been.
When a true lover of God goes into a tavern, the tavern becomes his chamber of prayer, but when a wine bibber goes into the same chamber, it becomes his tavern. In everything we do, it is our hearts that make the difference, not our outer appearance. Sufis do not judge other people on how they look or who they are. When a Sufi stares at someone, he keeps both eyes closed instead opens a third eye - the eye that sees the inner realm. (Shams of tabriz)
haaaaan bhencho jab zameen ki baat aaati hai tab to waahi purani bhayio wali ladai... hain? ki baap ki zameen bade bhai ki zada ki chote ki.... hahahaha aur otherwise love you?? badhiya hai..
OH MY GOD I LOVE HER VOICE!!! MEZMERIZING AND MAKES MY SPIRIT FLY!!! THANK YOU BEAUTIFUL MUSICIANS!!! YOUR WORK IS NEVER DONE AND ALWAYS NEEDED!!! THANK YOU OH LORD GOD FOR CREATING PEOPLE LIKE THIS!!!
I have faith in Sanam Marvi as she trains from Abida Parveen. Hope she doesn't turn out like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who ruined the legacy of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahib. Indian commercialisation of music has ruined our Indus cultural music.
I simply have no words to describe how this song humbles and enlightens me. Been listening to it for the past couple of months. Lost count of how many times I've put it on repeat. Pure sangeet? This is it. _/\_
One of the best songs Coke Studio Pakistan has created. The singing, the musicians, the lyrics, the melody, the rythm.... everything is nearly perfect.
Saud Hidayat If this music is 'corruption of Sufism' then i want to lose myself in the depth of this corruption and never return. Sufism is love. When you view the world through the shades of love then there is no room for judgement and negativity. Muslim, Hindu, Jew, Black, White, Yellow are all labels. We are all the same force. All created from star dust. I hope we all realize and appreciate it before its too late for mankind.
Spot on Gamma. People like Saud Hidayat will never get it. In fact, in Islam, anything that does not drive you away from religion has been given green signal. I firmly believe that Sufism has never done any harm to mankind in any way. Its a universal following which motivates mankind to love and respect. Saud Hidayat likes to follow what his predecessors follow. If that's the case then why are you using internet ? Why even use a computer ?
Bang on right my friend, it reminds me of a quote by Rumi which goes like this “Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” We all need to get off our high horses and bring about humility in our life. The flower cares not if a person is of a particular colour, creed, gender, religion. It gives its fragrance to all alike.
+Zakir Hossain I bought a car from Ustad Raees Khan some 20 years ago .. when I came to his home then I came to know that its legend's car .. I ask him to play some notes .. and he played a whole composition in front of me .. there was only me and ustad jee and his sittar...
+Asif Ahmed Siddiqui jelous of you man....when he was hear at Bangladesh.. before start playing he says .. mear ek icha thi ke mai Bangladeah ke audience ke aamne bajau...shaed ea mera akhri parformance hoga... then he played till morning . and he took us out of the world.there was aprox 25 k people. at midnight....
Years ago a somewhat mediocre artist said at a music concert I was attending that music must be created with one purpose alone - redemption of the soul. Wonder if he was a fan of Abida ji as well.
@8:54 Look at the bliss on his face while playing. There is every reason for us to be ever thankful to people like Abida Parveen and Ustad Raees Khan who sail beyond materialistic world through their art and try to connect us to the cosmic element we have forgotten of.
Remember to my peer directly to my soul. Love ur voice one of the great sufi singer. I m half hindu n half muslim after listent that song i feel that. My maula name is sadriyapeer pasriyapeer it s majar located in rajkot in small village name is shishang . Litterally i ibadat to my lord peer dada.
Phenomenal 🙌🙌. Each time I hear this, it puts me in an unexplainable meditative state, totally in trance. The poetry, the sitar rhythm, the sound and above all Abida ji’s vocals. Completely mesmerizing.
my heart flutters when I listen to this every time. I can't seem to put my feelings into words how light I feel, every part of me just floats and I am absolutely lost in the words and the sitar of Ustad Raees khan sahab.
I used to listen this in 2016, and today i was searching this master piece from past one hour and i kept scrolling coke studio channel until i found it. Thank you coke studio
Sufi sunne wale har wo jrra natmastak ha aabida ji, mery duwanye ha us parwar digar se ki har wo pal jisme aapki khushinya ho per pahredary jarur unki ho.......
When I was listening on Spotify, I wondered how some coke studio (with due respect) musician playing the Sitar like an Ustad. Now I know! Hats off, every morning on my way to work you refresh me to serenity.
Ustad Raees was born in 1939 in Indore, India. He belonged to the Mewati Gharana of Indian classical music. The great sitar player Ustad Vilayat Khan was his uncle. He started playing sitar at a very young age. One account suggests his father gifted him a sitar when he was barely three years old. He was also a vocalist of high merit. He would often sing a composition to illustrate the raga he was playing. One of his early major performances was at the Sunderbai Hall. Apart from performing at a number of concerts as a solo artist, Ustad Raees collaborated with legendary shehnai player Ustad Bismillah Khan on stage
Its amazing nice to see coke studio Pakistan back... Though I cant understand much of Punjabi but the whole feel of the song bring tears in my eyes. Rest music is purest form of creation which transcends religion race boundary and hatred... Its love of humanity which gets spread.... my salute again to such great effort to bring back the classical element in the music which we here in India are loosing fast thanxs to Honney singh types....
The gr8 part starts from 00:53. Gr8 Music till it gets end :) Abida Parveen has always been the greatest of all the time! I will be watching her live on this saturday Karachi, Pakistan! Woww Listening to Ustaad Raees khan for the first time and he has actually inspired me :)
