Why is everyone comparing this song to Bhansali version? That one is the classic version of this song, while the entire theme of Coke Studio is the fusion of classical and modern music. Both of these are entirely different songs with just the same lyrics.
If the song was performed as part of Coke Studio India, wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. Our heritage is the same, yet we fight, instead of celebrating it together. Awesome performance. Khusro lives on...
Zaid Ghazi sahab Indian music is flourishing in new segments also, Did you ever heard Wadali brothers in Coke studio. Bollywood movie songs and the folk songs here are more than our knowledge. Pakistani classical singers are just polishing traditional music and the lyrics of legendary writers like bulle shah amir khusro. Indian coke studio is trying to put new dimensions all the time. Our legendary classical artists are not easy to convince for the Coke Studio. Pt.Hariprasad Chaurasia, pt. Jasraj, Ustad Rashid khan, Niladri kumar, Ustad jakir hussain, Ustad Amzad khan, Anoushka Shankar... List is so so long no one can imagine. Pakistan Coke studio is the major platform for pakistani Artists but Indian Coke Studio is not that higher place to perform. So please don't compare coke studios from both sides. Try search other platforms to see the talent here, I guarantee you this one life is not enough. Pakistani artists and Indian artists shares the same musical heritage💐💐
Without any disrespect to the world mausiki and sangeet (whether indian or pakistani) i must report to my pakistani brothers thst classical music in india flourishes all over the country from Delhi, Agra, Gwalior, Pune Jaipur, indore, dharwad, puri kolkatta and dacca. Platforms such as Sawai Gandharva in pune or Tansen festival in Gwalior, etc are much sought after.
Honestly, i found this performance better than Atif's Tajdar-e-Haram. He's more mainstream but Rizwan and Muazzam deserve to get more recognition. No disrespect to Atif though! 👍🏽
people who appreciate REAL TALENT don't need to follow trends bro...ive heard nusrat fateh ali khan in USA before his worked was "abused" by bollywood...the difference b/w that song and this one is... you are not being distracted by tons of color and dancing and what not...here you HEAR the words and the music...which is the intended end result...please enjoy the music

I seriously believe that, musically, this is the best song of coke studio season 8. Everything is immaculate. from jaw dropping drum rolls by the drummer to killer alaaps by the two brothers. Of course, Mr. Tafu has to be the highlight of the song. He reaches a new high every time I see him play. And Mannu with his usual calming presence and groovy basslines. Love Coke Studio. You make me a proud Pakistani.

Muje personally bhansali waala jyada acha laga Kyuki traditional instruments use kiye isliye I think classical music me traditional instruments always alag hi magic or originality create karte hai wo fusion me nahi ho paata unfortunately
