I'm 17 years old and I have been listening to this song since I was 8. My life has revolved around old bands like Alice in Chains and Metallica and Linkin Park. I will forever grow by listening to these types of songs. These songs have taught me so much. I will forever hold these types of songs in my heart. This song being one of them
My life has revolved around rock bands in general, so I love Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, Skillet, Breaking Benjamin, Five Finger Death Punch, Shinedown, etc. Rock is really just the best kind of music
All great bands. Alice In Chains is the band I go back to the most. Jerry Cantrel is phenomenal and there has been no better than Layne with his vocals and lyrics. No matter how down you are in life, his songs somehow give you solace in that you aren’t alone
Linkin park one of my favs this band I have so many memories listening to them! 10 years and a &c for sure.I’m 31 but these bands are close to me n my whole life! Newer bands just don’t compare.just not the same
The chorus of this song is obviously the point for most people. What I relate to most is the bridge. Truly sad, chilling words: "I never really wanted you to see, the screwed up side of me that I keep locked inside of me so deep." I feel like that side of me has kept me from growing close to people and having meaningful relationships. It's a curse that I hope to one day break. I wish that side of me could just fade away. I'm sorry for the way I am :'(

**id have to go with music getting fukin AWESOME again around 1990'ish, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pantera, Mad Season (Layne Staley singing who is absolutely phenomenal, best singer for me, ever), then these guy🎉, three days grace, seether, Shinedown, and a few more really kept it real in my opinion- ESP as far as great singers and songwriting and bands overall ❤️🙏🎸 Learning a bunch of ñew to me stuff from this song, some 3days grace, seether broken, and so on¡¡!

Yea, looking back at a relationship that ended a long, long time ago, I feel the same. She moved on quite fast, and I was fucked up for a while. Now it doesn't hurt as bad to talk about it, but it has made me put my walls up and not let anybody in. But I wasn't without my own faults in the relationship. This song is fitting.

I was listening to Pandora while driving and then this epic song came on and I was like "OH HELL YEA!" Man I haven't heard this song in a long time and when it came on I recognized it, but never knew the title or the band. I do now though.
The song will always have a place in my heart, my freshman year of high school one of the girls and our grade took her own life because of family problems that nobody was helping her with. They played this song at her Memorial and also at our graduation in honor of her I wasn't close with her but it brings you back to that moment in time and in that moment of grief even if you didn't know that person
The first time I heard this song in a really long while was in the introduction to Geekvolution's 'Batman & Robin' review.; I think it was the "I never meant to be so cold." line for the reason being because of the constant ice puns Mr. Freeze made & the "What I really meant to say is I'm sorry for the way I am." line in reference to Joel Schumacher apologizing for making the movie. Great song & my all-time favorite.
The song was full a lot of meaningful to me,the lyrics of the song was totally good and deeply soul out of it and the genre song was very beautiful and depression so much when I stress headache always listening to the song.
