Cold emailing is a crucial step in recruiting for your dream job/internship. Whether it be cold emails or linkedin messages, they may be the breakthrough to land your dream job/internship.
Steps in the cold messaging process:
1. Find the relevant people using linkedin filters or your university alumni directory.
2. Send a concise and professional message. Try to personalise it if possible. (See the FREE message template I provide below)
3. Follow-up after 1-2 weeks in case they haven't gotten back to you. Do this at least once to make sure they didn't just forget.
4. Create a database tracking all your contacts, in case you need to reach out to them in the future.
