Cold Ground is a documentary short that follows few of America's homeless who lived in Union Square Park, New York. They tell their stories about what put them on the street and the struggles they face each day waking up on a park's bench.
Shot in the winter of 2001 by Carlington Silburn a 24 year old Jamaican who was a film student at The New York Film Academy.
In 2003 Cold Ground won in the category of best documentary short at the Jamerican Film and Music Festival,Carlington was the first and only Jamaican resident to have ever won an award at that event during its five year run.
