It would help to move the steering wheel left to right several times while you're starting the tractor to unload the hydraulic pump. It make it easier to start.
8 cylinder radial hydraulic pump upon starting should go out of stroke after a few revolutions! Moving the steering wheel back and fourth will cause demand on the pump thus creating head pressure! There is another problem! Needs diagnosis.
