For the 1911 or 2011 it is easier to ride the safety with your thumb while you are shooting that way you always know when it is on. Then as you holster you flip the safety back on.

I dig it. Two weekends ago, I ran an “all steel” charity match for the first time for 2 opposite divisions. (Open and Stock.) Oddly enough, Open I went clean, Stock I missed several. In that order. Placed nowhere near the top for either, but learned a lot and had fun with other great people. Not that it matters, but I was a 1341 in the Corps, with only one real deployment to Iraq in 2003.

Yeah I always train with slide lock and safeties that way you never have to worry about it when you need it. Plus I love how you guys do 25 meters as well I'm usually the only one I know trying to push my pistol skills further and further away because you never know what engagements you will have.

Bryan, sorry if that’s wrong but I kept hearing Bryan. Anyway I can tell bryan been putting in work with dry fire or live fire he seems a lot more comfortable his body language is a lot more confident in this video verses previous which leads me to think fellas we should be filming ourselves on the range and assessing where we need work and watching back on what we’ve improved on. Nice work Bryan your improvement is very impressive keep up the work!!

@@milspec_mojo it’s all in his mannerisms on the range and his manipulations are more firm and confident or just second nature now and stuff as simple as re holstering his weapon is super smooth but snappy if that makes sense. Character development is definitely it. Love seeing new faces on here as well. Always love the energy. And the content is extremely useful.

how can you guarantee you would never have an emergency reload IRL? What if you never have the "lull" to gas up again? Also is an emergency reload faster from the belt than a tac mag with retaining the partially spent magazine? just some thoughts I had while watching please elaborate or show us answers

Great question and an absolutely good thought process, you CANT guarantee you won’t have to conduct an emergency speed reload but you can mitigate it by remaining aware!
