What's the best way to start the year? Lots of cold starting! With the help of a battery charger and a can of ether, we get it all started. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND ETHER ON YOUR OWN VEHICLES!
On the 7710, if the battery box is the same as a 9700 and TW series there’s a latch on the back side and once its unlatched the box swings on a pivot next to where your cables go through the lid and should swing towards the front of the tractor allowing access to remove the cover.
Turning ignition key CCW on those older ford's will make them glow the glow plugs. Then you just turn it all the way CCW after the glow plugs have been warming up for 20-30secs
And put FULD Throttle so you can push the button on the fuel pump. It "clicks" and hold in with fuld throttle. Its on all older FORDs with the "Minimec" pump...
Always have an engine cranking over BEFORE giving it a SMALL shot of ether. Otherwise, ether may build up in the dry air cleaner and enter the engine in one large gulp. An employee broke a crankshaft in our HD-11 Allis-Chalmers doing that.

Small shot of ether while cranking won't hurt anything and it'll start quickly. Boosting off the starter is simple just be careful not to let it touch anything.
The 3930s starter is failing my 8210 gen 1 used to do the same and please don't take this the wrong way but don't say a tractor sucks because the main reason why its socks is due to lack of operating knowledge about them I used a 7710 gen 1 for 8 years and I could always get it to start when other couldnt because I knew it had glow plugs they didn't and my 8210 now thats 1 bad cold starter even on a cool day it needs the coldstart button 😂
Two ways if you Manifold glow plug is not working ... Warm gentally the inlet manifold with propane torch when hot then crank motor .. or direct flame inside manifold while cranking the you save your battery lol lol

Should have used the hlowplugs a bit and on the 7710 and other 10(s) if you put the throttle fully on and go to the pump where the stopper cable attaches to there's a little rod you can push in if you do that it's a cold start button gives the engine more fule and 9 times out if 10 they start used it many times at work
If you did not know that if you turn the key to the left it will turn the glow plug on and hold for 30 seconds then go to start and give it give it a little but fast Idol
To start the 7710 on a cold start there is a button on the side of the desil pump when it is pressed it let's extra desil through for a boost you have to have the throttle open up and it will start first pick trust me I know I have a 7810 and its the same on all fords made after 1980
Perhaps in your auto parts they ran out the of starting fluid, you are killing the starters and batteries. Seems to me that you ratter change or charge the batteries and starter than using starting fluid, but just a few shots of starting fluid will do.

well if u have isseus with all ur tractors get just rid of them all and buy 1 deuts "prefered a 06" and a good varta battery and ur set for 10 years no glow plugs needed use the rest of ur monney to eat burgers for the next 10 years
Red and Blue Tractors no they don’t look at this video the fords don’t start, the battery’s are in the wrong place and your just saying that because u have fords. I have fords to, they’re nice tractors but bad. U won’t find one without something wrong with it.
I got soured after you said Ford sucks and didn’t watch any further! Maybe instead of bad mouthing Ford you might want to read a manual or ask someone for advice instead of being a quitter you won’t succeed with an attitude like that.
