Just got mine and I'm also pretty impressed! The dagger is as sturdy as it is pretty. And I believe the steel is 1080, at least that's what the tag said. No complaints whatsoever here either. It's a good match for my 1917 Frontier Bowie... Cold Steel delivers, that's for "sure"!!!
This is the best and detailed made toothpick on the market...only Cold Steel is able to offer such a product in its best form.None of the other producters is so proud to offer such masterpiece made weapons as C.S...and with such classic and beautiful decoration typical for woods of Mississippi ,Arkansas etc...
The best made toothpick I have ever seen...the most beautiful of this weapons..absolutely leading decoration on the pommel and scabbard..in wikipedia is written...,,often made with rich decoration and symbols,, ...the only knifemaker who remembers these details is again and again...Cold Steel..congratulation👍
Great looking cold steel blade; I think they were made for killing. I really can't see another use for it. Maybe if you had a few they would make good tent stakes. Thanks for the video.
Haha thanks man. I agree it's definitely a weapon. I was reading that a lot of confederate soldiers carried Arkansas toothpicks into battle. Thanks for commenting, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Have a good day
To be real I'm probably just going to stick with this one. Unfortunatley i just dont have the funds for that. In a few years there are definitely some knives from svord I want to get my hands on. Especially their pig sticker and von tempsky bowie.
@@jacobreviewsthings what you've got is a lovely blade. I live in New Zealand where Svords are made, and their version of the tooth pick is quite pricey. Anyway enjoy that cold steel👍
@@daveyboy6985 thanks man, im definitely having to much fun with this knife lol. I never knew they were made in New Zealand, that's badass. Thanks for the recommendations, I hope you're having a good new year so far
Lucky, I was so annoyed that I could have gotten one for half the price if I'd been mote patient lol. Hopefully you like yours as much as I like mine. Thanks for commenting man
These are derived from the short sword carried by knights being used to get under plate armour to stab armoured knights who were knocked from their horse in battle... . The Sykes fairburne knife is still used today as a fighting knife by the marines, it being a scaled down version of the or the knife above . Dagger is a better name for them rather than tooth pick . I have to say that one above at that price seems to be a good buy it seems well made and sturdy . Also the word 'Pardon" is associated with the knife dagger above . You will have to do ya research to know why .. 😉 ..
Thanks for commenting fellow Jacob. I'm in the same boat as you, I bought mine before the deal but hey I can't complain. I've still got a sick ass knife lol
Fairburn-Sykes on steroids. Good for slashing as well as thrust. Almost a short sword. difficult to conceal carry. It needs a thumb guard to keep an opposition blade from sliding down and cutting your thumb off.
@@gianpalacio5635 i bought mine for 89$ during said sale. id send a screenshot but not sure how on here. major retailers dont know what they do half the time
Haha yeah ive thought about it. I will eventually. I'm not very good at sharpening so I need get some more practice first. This knife looks to good for me to mess up the edge and scratch it up
Haha as an American the name sounds weird to me too. Apparently a European person was visiting the southern US in the 1800s and saw a man picking his teeth with one of these knives and he thought it was hilarious and the name stuck.
wow, Buddy ... what an awesome Toothpick. This might be interesting to folks who like knifes like Master Keatings Crossada Knife (the spearpoint one especially), like this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pNpEpcxvwiE.html
Review? What kind of metal is it made from? What kind of grind is used on the edge? What country is it made in? What did you pay for it? What is the handle made of? How long is it in inches? Review the knife. Don’t twirl it in a circle and hack at an old 4x4.
Sorry you didnt like the video man. I'm here to give my personal thoughts on the knife not read a bunch of boring statistics off a spreadsheet that anyone can find just by visitingcold steels website. So if that's the information you're here for I suggest you do your own research. www.coldsteel.com/arkansas-toothpick/
